Once a student threw a stool at the teacher. Who happened to also be my mother (she isn't a teacher anymore, she much prefers the job she has now in disability care). This student got ZERO punishment. In the school with a thousand and one different rules mind you. That, combined with boredom (there was literally nothing to do) and social isolation resulted in some crazy stuff. But one of the less destructive, or depressive, or dangerous or "send this kid away" funny events that happened was one time a kid brought an ENTIRE OVEN to school (either a mini or portable one, slightly bigger then a microwave). Apparently his parents forbade him from using a microwave, but he still needed to warm up some food. So unsure if the school had an oven, he just brought his with him!

About scientific articles: it’s so much worse than you think. Basically, not only do researchers pay to apply to get their articles into any research journal, and pay especially large sums of money for the most well known, they are also extremely expensive to buy and access. Most universities pay several hundreds of grands to allow their students to access articles from only a limited selection of journals, and those are subscriptions models too. Plus, science rn is basically a publishing rush. If you’re not published, you won’t get any employment. So no, money you pay to the journal will absolutely not cover any kind of research that is shown in the articles. Oh and btw, reviewers for those articles? Also not paid. The system is basically ultra skewed and definitely not the greatest. Anyways, all articles can be found for free online if you try long enough

13:09 the incidents at my school. 5 fires. First one last year before school set by year 8 girls in the boys bathroom, did almost no damage. The same month, same bathroom year 9 girls threw toilet paper everywhere for more damage and set the boy’s bathroom alight, a lot of damage with the bathrooms being shut down for re-pairs. This year, last week was two bathrooms (both boys bathrooms again) in opposite sides on the school set alight. Horrible smell and smoke. we still don’t know who did it this time. Only that it was the same people for both bathrooms that day
