The Prestige Auxetic Tour, 95 sq inch, does have a higher swing weight, but because of the weight distribution it's quiet easy to swing. Other than the amazing plow-through, you'd never know the SW was that high. Now, in regard to the launch angle, the launch angle is actually quite flat. Not nearly as much height over the net as you'd expect for a 16x19. I even have a 1.23 gauge string in mine and while it gets pretty good bite on the ball, it's still not a loopy launch angle at all. I have two of these and I had them matched at my local pro shop. 335SW and 336 static weight with strings. These are premium racquets if you are an advanced player. You will not be disappointed with the Prestige Tour. I also have the Prestige Auxetic MP. I was really disappointed for two reasons. The swing weight on both of my sticks was way under the declared 334SW that Tennis Warehouse claims. They must have gone through a lot of racquets to find that one. The feel of the racquet is quite good and the sweet spot is decent, BUT the twist weight is low and the racquet will twist when you hit slightly off-center. Otherwise, the flex and feel was great. The paint job on both the Tour and the MP is premium, just beautiful. Just my two cents.

You need that swingweight (MP) to return the serves and rallies with strong and good players.

MP L seems to be a well-received one by many reviewers. It has 300g unstrung weight, lower swing weight, and is a player spec which can easily be customized.

Great review! I agree with you on these racquets. Especially the part about after using them for just a little bit, they really grew on you and got easier to use. I enjoyed them a lot, but decided to keep looking when I tried them a while back because I thought there might be something coming out that did the same in an easier to use package. Glad I did, love my new TF40’s. On a side note, funny how those cones can be so hard to hit haha you were SO close SO many times and when they aren’t there you probably hit that spot a ton of times. Definitely a game of the mind!

Thanks! Lucky you had some patience to wait. The TF40 is a greeeaaat frame. The cones can be tricky, we did hit them maybe once or twice during the whole session of 30-40 minutes :) Just luck probably.

Good stuff - i think id get these but they're for the most part similar to the previous version, more interested in the MP since Muzza was using it, but looks like he might of given up on the mould already lol

Yes, very similar. Really no point in switching from previous version if not for the paint job. Odd to see Murray going back so soon, it seemed to work just fine to me.

hi ac tennis. i am one of your subscribers and have probably contributed a few fractions of a fraction of a dollar to your ad revenue :-). Have you experienced any discomfort with the auxetic prestige line? I am asking around to see if anyone else is experiencing hand numbness like me -- specifically with the auxetic prestige pro.
@ACTennis2 жыл бұрын
@@chrisc2439 haven't tried the prestiges yet, but if you are having numbness with your hand, maybe could be a technical thing with using a higher weighted racquet? can't help you much there - these racquets should be fairly arm friendly as you are thinking

@@ACTennishmm. I also string my own racquets with a simple drop weight machine. Do you think my last string job could be the source of the issue? Have you ever heard of a bad string job causing extra vibration? (I'm using the same strings and tension I've used for many years in other frames)

I don’t remember for sure, I’m pretty sure I mention it in the video. I think it was Head hawk, or hawk touch 1.25

At the time I had the prestige XT MP (18x20), that particular racket suited me with the Tourna Big Hitter Black 7 1.20, it gave me more spin and feel. Now I have the auxetic prestige Tour, because of the open stringing would it be fine with the big hitter silver 7 1.25? Would the black 7 1.20 be very fine in a 16x19?
@Tennisrally_ Жыл бұрын
It should still be fine since you are used to that string. If it feels to “springy” you can string it slightly tighter to get more control

Would you recommend the Prestige Pro or the Wilson V8 Blade 16x19 with added weight for someone with a one handed backhand?
@Tennisrally_2 жыл бұрын
It will mostly depend on what trajectory you have over the net and what you are comfortable with. The Prestige has a 18x20 pattern so the launch will be a bit lower and the overall spin will be less. Personally I like the Blade 16x19 more because of my game style and preference
@felipepoisson97342 жыл бұрын
Between the prestige pro and tour 2021 is there a very noticeable drop in control? Which racket did you find more control oriented? The 18x20 is a very drastic change to the 18x19 of the mp?
@Tennisrally_2 жыл бұрын
It is not the string pattern that makes the difference really. Of course it has an aspect to it as well but it is mainly the difference in beam width and stiffness. Between the Pro and the Tour, the Tour has a different feel which is more lively and less controllable in general. On the other hand the head size is smaller and can therefore be harder for some players to use
@chrisc24392 жыл бұрын
hi @Tennisrally did you feel any discomfort with the pro version? I've been developing hand numbness using a string set up that i have used in other racquets for many years. I feel the sensation of prolonged vibration at contact -- as if i never hit the sweet spot. I am wondering if any one else has experienced this type of discomfort and hand numbness? thanks
@Tennisrally_2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I am unaware of you problem but I can say that the Pro is a very comfortable frame due to its low stiffness.

Well done, i play the new prestige mp, and somehow I’m not as happy as with the previous one. I’m thinking to change to the speed series. Which one do you recommend?
@Tennisrally_2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! If you want to go for the Speed's I would recommend the Pro for sure. The new update makes it a great racquet. I really enjoyed it even though I don’t typically play with an 18x20 pattern.

How would you compare the new TF40 18x20 vs the New Prestige Pro? Which one would you preffer?
@Mewborne892 жыл бұрын
I obviously didn’t do the review, but I just recently switched to the new TF40’s in the 18x20 and I’ve used all of these new Prestige’s. I’m also coming from a Blade V8. Anyway, the best way to compare the TF40 to the Pro is that it’s just way easier to use and more free power. TF40 is more maneuverable as well. The feel on contact with the TF40 is a little better overall, but both sweet spots feel great and super plush. I would have probably gone with the Pro if I didn’t go for the TF40. They’re close but TF way easier to use on the daily while doing some things better. Hope this helps!
@Tennisrally_2 жыл бұрын
Charlie described it very well. One thing I would add is that the Prestige is slightly more dampened on impact due to the lower stiffness. I would have a hard time deciding which to go for but I would say the TF40, only because of it's lower weight for customizing. The Prestige needs a lot of weight to make useful which the TF40 doesn't unless you want.
