I’m leaning towards the Escape Hybrid Titanium. It has more bells and whistles and the hybrid gets way better mileage. More bang for the buck. Oh, and I just checked, the Escape is 15-20% less in insurance. Both are great and I’ve never owned a Lincoln, so it’s not set in stone
@CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
@@randyk636 Great idea shopping for insurance rates between the 2 of them as well. If only the plugin hybrid Corsair was more widely available this year! The hybrid Escape is a great option to cut down on fuel costs, it'll have a lot of similar features as the Corsair.. it's the styling and handling differences that set these apart. Best of luck!

Way more than a facelift. Both cars are on a new platform, and the Lincoln has significant structure and suspension enhancements vs the Ford.

Agree completely about the suspension differences between both vehicles! There was a facelift but yes mechanically there is a difference between the 2019 and 2020 model years.

For the cost difference it's definitely something to consider.. massage chair seat option in the Corsair, quieter ride, more luxurious feel behind the wheel. Test drive them both but if you've got the budget the Corsair is a great option Plus on the Lincoln side of things you get an extra year on the Basic/Powertrain warranty! And there's the pickup and drop off benefit so you don't need to bring the car to the dealership yourself when you need it serviced

Can you tell me if there's a significant difference in the driver seat comfort between the Escape Titanium and the lincoln? That would be an interesting compare but Escape/Corsair are built on the same platform as are the Edge/Nautilus

I thought it would be fair to compare luxury to luxury. When I was shopping around I wanted a luxury line vehicle. Not just an SUV. If that was the case I would have considered the Edge, Hilander, or GMCs mid size SUV. But I wanted luxury, and for my money I had to go compact.
@CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
@@WDStock_man Hmm.. size wise those other combos are the same - but the Edge would be a bit closer to the Lincoln lineup than the Escape Makes sense about the dollars. Have you already gone one way or the other or figuring out which one to grab?

@@CarsWithSteve yes I chose the Corsair standard trim because all the techs are there. And actually, when I looked at the Aviator, it's base was only a little more leg room for 5k more. No thank you. Built on the same frame, similar platform, same 2.0L turbo engine, similar interior spacing and made by the same company. It's a head to head comparison - not just on features but on size. Comfort and experience wise the Corsair pulls ahead but it's all a matter of preference

I almost bought a 2021 Corsair until I compared it to the 2021 Escape Titanium. After several weeks of looking and test driving I narrowed my choice down to these two SUV's. I took the Corsair home for a weekend test drive and it drove like a dream, until Monday morning in bumper to bumper traffic. The Corsair jerked all over the place, so I pulled into a parking lot to review the settings. When I put the car in park the "parking brake on" light lit up. I was concerned about the sensors not working properly because I never used the parking brake. On the highway drive a "tire sensor failure" message came up twice. I wasn't sure what all of it meant as the car only had 168 kms on it.

The Lincoln dealer wasn't able to provide an explanation for the rough ride. He offered me 3500. for my Lincoln MKZ on trade with no other discounts. I told him I would sell privately and found a buyer the next day. In the meantime they were to investigate why the car acted up. I had just made a deal with the buyer when I got a text saying he sold the Corsair. OMG...I was planning to go back to test drive the Corsair with a technician along, but I had to scramble to find another car. I went to Ford and found the Escape Titanium was almost the same SUV without as much fancy and 15K cheaper. Why buy another Lincoln if mine was only worth 3.5k at trade after nine years? I am on my way to pick up my Escape right now. Happy accident!
