Lincoln deleted the Corsair foam engine cover and downgraded to non-folding rear headrests between 2020 and 2021. I bought a Nautilus 2.0L engine cover for my 2021 Corsair (fits and looks great). I also bought 2020 Corsair folding rear headrests. They only had one side in my color, so I got two with the release button on the same side instead of button on the outside, slides in place fine, improves rear view visibility. Corsair fits in my garage with much better clearance. Prefer the compact size of the Corsair for easier driving, parking, visibility.
@CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing those out in case people read through the comments! Are you noticing any noise reduction under the hood with that cover or just a choice for aesthetics? The headrest upgrade is a brilliant idea 💡
@drmitofit26733 жыл бұрын
@@CarsWithSteve My 2.0L engine has a fuel injector ticking sound that you can really only hear out of the car with the hood raised, but yes the foam engine cover does muffle it even more. It hides the unsightly nest of cables on top of the engine and has the Lincoln logo. One rumor is that the engine cover was deleted for better heat dispersion, but I don't believe that since the engine doesn't ruin too hot and it is still included on the 2.0L 2021 Nautilus. More likely a penny pinching or supply chain issue. The rear cargo has knobs for a cargo lid, but no cargo lid included. I didn't need that. Would have liked knobs to hang plastic shopping bags though. Also I ordered the Lincoln Corsair cargo mat but was disappointed that it is semi slick plastic rather than non-slip rubber. Would recommend a rubber WeatherTech-like mat instead.

Still going between a 2021 Corsair Reserve and 2021 Standard Nautilus, since roughly same price point. Only leaning toward Nautilus because I don't want to regret going smaller with Corsair. @CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
Hmm.. If the kids were younger I'd say lean more towards the Nautilus for the larger interior and more cargo space. Is the preteen involved in any sports that would require more cargo space? Do you take family road trips? You would get more tech out of the Corsair Reserve than the Standard trim Nautilus but if you go for that base Nautilus, I'd add in the Elements Package so you've at least got heated/ventilated seats!
