That makes sense, I've seen a few people mention the year wait for the new Mustang too. I like the new look of the interior, it reminds me a bit of the Cadillac Lyriq. Great color on this car. It's my second choice. I'm planning to order a 2023 Nautilus Reserve soon in Burgundy Velvet but I'm extremely disappointed I can't get Slate interior with Burgundy exterior. Almost a deal-breaker for me. Also, I've heard so many mixed things about 2024's . What are your thoughts on what will happen to the Nautilus... Revamp? Electric? No changes at all?
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve Жыл бұрын
That Burgundy Velvet looks pretty good in person. It's odd what Ford does and doesn't allow for color combinations.. you'd think it would just be open across the board for people to choose what they want 🤷 The Nautilus was technically on track for a revamp in 2024, which the Chinese market is getting.. It hasn't been announced if it's going to be discontinued past the 2024 model in North America but as of right now production is going to stretch into early next year. The Oakville plant is going through an electrification change so there's the possibility the next gen Edge/Nautilus could be built there. I could see a short run 2024 with the same feature set and a potential 2025 EV revamp if it doesn't hit the chopping block

How'd you like the Nautilus? The Nautilus is most likely going ahead with its EV upgrade for 2024 but the Edge is looking like it'll hit the chopping block. Still no confirmation from Ford though either way. Leasing is a great idea if you're afraid of what the resale value is going to be. If you choose to buy it out it'll cost you a bit more in the long run but if it depreciates hard then you're walking away laughing.

@@CarsWithSteve The Ford dealership is losing Lincoln. I guess all Lincoln is leaving Ford in Utah and will have one dealership in Salt Lake. I live closer to Vegas than SLC in southern Utah. I didn't buy it because they said they are trying to keep miles off it since they only have two Lincolns left and not getting anymore. If you won't let me test drive a $62,000 car, I won't buy it. I left.

Buttons aren't too far off between the two. Think the 2 options for next gen would be EV or repeat of the ICE if Lincoln keeps it past the 2023 model. It would be kind of neat to see a plugin Nautilus though

I leased the 2019 Nautilus and loved it so much I got the 2022 after my 4 year lease. Minor issues with massage seat and battery drain after 3.5 years - but all covered under warranty and maintenance plan. Bear in mind Lincoln lease rate for 2022 was 5.49% so even if this car is same MSRP as German brands their lease rates are over 8% so it’s not the same price. The power of this car in sport is a beast with premium fuel - this car will beat most SUV rivals in straight line. IMO best looking interior with wireless apply car play - can’t beat it!

Part of the reason is because of the time it'll take to re-tool the Oakville plant over the next year and change once production for existing models winds down. Got my wife 2023 Nautilus Reserve black/tan with $10,830 of options two days ago. The Lincoln website blows as does the window sticker info. Does this one have adaptive suspension or is that a Black Label feature only? Does this have dynamic headlights? Trying to figure out if we got 13 or 19 speakers. Sales dude said 19 but starting searching for confirmation. Revel vs Revel Ultimate…you wouldn’t think finding this stuff out off the website the guys that built it would be so freaking hard! Awful! So thanks Steve your video is the first place I’ve seen state the 201a group that’s on the window gets the 13 speakers…sales dude is wrong. I’ve bought a Genesis 2022 GV70 3.5t and now a Genesis G80 2.5 sport Prestige and have been duly impressed with fit and finish. On day two my wife notices a plastic on plastic rattle in the dash that goes away when she presses down on the padding below the infotainment screen. And also two silver dollar sheet metal flaws on the passenger side second row showing through the black metallic paint. Delightful car and super comfortable, but for $66k US we’ve had to schedule a return to begin how to fix this 😩

Stickers don't have all the features listed but adaptive suspension is standard in the Reserve 202a package and Black Label and then optional in the 200a/201a with the 2.7L turbo engine. The Revel 19 speaker is standard in the 202a and Black Label... Haven't had a chance to start reviewing Genesis vehicles yet but it's on my radar to start later this year. Outside of the build quality issues how are you enjoying it so far?

@@CarsWithSteve Looking forward to your opinion Steve I think Genesis is the best kept luxury ride secret out there. (shame on Genesis) They are addressing the biggest gripe of their network using Hyundai dealerships. By the end of the year stand alone buildings will be required for the franchise. The engineers and designers from BMW, Bentley, etc. have their fingerprints all over the six vehicles they have. Really well thought out and I love the styling. Both of the vehicles I’ve owned have been flawless, best warranty on the market by a bunch and the 36,000 miles of free maintenance really is a good hook especially as close as the competition is in these niches. If you like being unique and like the attention of people talking to you at gas stations, car wash, etc. these high quality vehicles are real head turners. It’s still funny when non-car people get asking questions like what is that? It’s a Genesis. And who makes Genesis 🤪 Then you explain it’s like Acura is to Honda, Infinity is to Nissan….blah blah. Yes Genesis would like to put a dent in the German mfg. market share, I like the way they are going about it. Like Lincoln, Genesis isn’t apologetic for what their vehicles drive is like and I really appreciate them going after something more comfortable yet athletic. If you’re stuck in the paradigm that German performance and feel is the only benchmark, (badge loyalty) don’t waste your time trying one. If you’re open minded to what a quality ride that is both luxurious yet fun is, give it a shot.

@@CarsWithSteve The Nautilus is really nice and I was shocked that the word got out that the Edge and Nautilus got the axe and were going to return as electric at the end of last year. Going right from a Corsair to a $70k Aviator is a grave marketing strategy, with nothing in between. I get where the design is going but I think we dumb lucked ourselves into this last version of this design. The 2024 Nautilus exterior looks handsome but all of the digital electronic graphics attacking your brain while you’re supposed to be driving I think is problematic. Feels like electronic mobile billboards trying to get you to look down vs on the road. This small displacement 2.7 great output 335 hp is such a sweet spot to me I also think Lincoln is making a mistake with this 4,500 awd vehicle for 2024. So again we lucked out with this 2023 design because the Mrs. Liked the very attractive black and tan combo. My lifestyle is not conducive to being forced into an EV. They have a long way to go to either get the infrastructure in place as plentiful and convenient as gas stations and the ability to drive 1000 miles to visit grandchildren, or put in 1000 mile single charge batteries.

I had a buddy pick up a Hyundai Genesis Coupe before the brands were separated and he loved the car. The newer models look great so it'll be good to get behind the wheel and see how they actually are. I mistook a GV70 for a Porsche Maycan rear end the other day until I saw the badge. Great feedback from an owner, it's always nice to hear these kind of perspectives The Nautilus is back again for 2024 with the same 2.0L turbo as the 2023 model but also a new 2.0L hybrid! No official word on the Edge yet though.. I'm really curious what the new cluster is going to be like though but I'm sure there will be some sort of calming screen to get rid of some of the potential distractions. Agree with you on the shift to electric. I think that hybrids are going to be the happy middle ground for most people.. if you're only travelling 30 - 50 km per day you could run on electric mode most of the time with the gas backup if you need it

It's a wonder why Lincoln offers a 2.0 base engine rather then their 2.3 4 cylinder? The 2.7 really isn't needed for this type of vehicle. In the Aviator it makes sense. The 2.0 should be just for the Corsair.
