Mary, I am happy you are feeling better today. When I get really bad headaches (almost or sometimes migraines) it has helped to take peppermint tea or, if I cannot drink or eat anything, essence oil from Peppermint is great. I really hope you don't need to think about these tips in a long long time! Have a great time and keep practicing to fly with the drone. It was soo much fun!

I feel this comment. I get chronic migraines and I currently have one. Little tip if you need a dimmer screen. Use reduce white point. I don’t know if it’s in any other phones but it’s on the iPhone at least 7 and further. I turn mine to 100. It’s in the settings under general - accessibility - display accommodations - and it’s the last option.

I get severe headaches too when my blood sugars are due to drop or are low and feel your pain Mary. It's so crummy to go through all of this and I feel your pain Mary. I end up getting seizures when my blood sugars drop too low, I get that dreadful headache and then if after about half hour my blood sugars still don't go up then I have seizures and it sucks so bad. You are so super strong Mary and Peter is just so sweet and loving towards you he takes such amazing care of you each time you are sick and Peter knows how to make you feel so much better. Thinking of you Mary and so happy to know you have Peter with you to help you through all of this. Gentle soothing hugs to you Mary. From Helen - I live in the UK and I am a huge fan of your channel. I have Intestinal Failure and I'm on TPN every night I have a Hickman line, I also have Mitochondrial disease, Dysautonomia, Epilepsy, the list goes on.. tanya crumlish No need to thank me I just hope everything will be okay. I used to have chronic migraines where I could only lay in my room in the dark I couldn't eat or anything. I ended up being prescribed medicine where I took 5 or more pills then would take one less pill everyday till I didn't take them and it helped my migraines I don't remember exactly what they were called since I was pretty young and my memory is not the best... It was probably 6 years ago or more.. And was prescribed pharmacy strength naproxen after that but they stopped making it back then for some stupid reason but yesterday I had a migraine all day so after work I went to dollar general and found Naproxen there I was so excited it says to only take two in 12 hrs and thankfully it worked I was really worried it wouldn't. Not sure if you have tried Naproxen or not but if you haven't I would try it. I really hope tomorrow goes good and you get some relief finally.

Tension headache like migraines can last more like weeks to months. But I do still recommend getting an appointment with your neurologist to talk about a treatment option. Some treatments they may have are infusions where the medication is pumped directly into your vein via a Catheter that they put in. Also steroids that you can take for multiple days at decreasing doses to help stop this particular headache. From this point your neurologist might talk about using preventative medication. That’s medication that you take every day to avoid getting a migraine. You also may talk about avoiding triggers like chocolate or processed food additives. It can only get better if you talk to a neurologist about what the problems you are facing and how you might think you can face them.
@katiebutler39446 жыл бұрын
Lauren I fairly normally have headaches/migraines for weeks at a time. I typically have a headache every day then sometimes I’ll have a migraine in there for about a week and my neurologist and ER do nothing about it.
@shirleypilger17056 жыл бұрын
I get migraines so I feel your pain. Wish you better health tomorrow. I was taught a pressure point on the hand. It helps temporarily. Put gentle pressure on your palm between the thumb and index finger, just past the webbing. Increase the pressure gradually until you start to feel it then hold the pressure for 10/15 minutes. I can do this on myself but it seems to work best if someone else is applying the pressure. Peter, this might be a way for you to help Mary get through those bad headaches.

My heart goes out to you every time I see you with one of these dag blasted headaches! I get horrible migraines and I also get primary cough migraines when I get bronchitis, so I can't even imagine. When you were talking about the Bible verse going through your mind over and over it actually made me think of something that occasionally (not always, but sometimes and it's definitely worth it when it works) helps me and it's called binaural beats. It's repetitive sounds/beats and frequencies that you listen to that help you relax. I find that it takes my mind completely off the migraine to the point sometimes where I feel like I'm in a nearly meditative state. I say it doesn't always work because for the most part after it's over the migraine is still there, but heck even the relief while I'm listening is sometimes enough to keep the tears at bay for a while. They have some videos on youtube that are pretty good. I just put "binaural beats migraine" in the search and try out a few until I find one I like.
