This brings back a memory... I remember being at a Toys R Us at checkout, and our cashier was talking to another cashier about how there were some wrestlers in the store. So me and my friends started looking around, we had just gone to I want to say it was a RAW taping the previous night. It turned out to be Mosh and Trasher, they were walking out and they had just purchased their own action figures, which I found funny. I remember it was that scuba diving series. You could see the remnants of the face paint on them. We blankly stared at them and they clearly noticed that we recognized them, so they nodded at us and kept moving to the exit. I eventually yelled out to them 'you guys rocked last night', to which they looked back and said 'thanks'. And then, in one of those awkward moments, my friend goes 'yeah... we were there'. Lol, we still bring that up to him to this day.
@JackMcCrack102 жыл бұрын
Ehhh, back then they never stayed in town overnight. Calling bullshit with this one... And if it were the next night why would they have remnants of facepaint? 🤔
@jchis12112 жыл бұрын
@@JackMcCrack10 For what it's worth, I can assure you Uncle that I am not making this up! We saw them at a show in Lowell, MA and saw them at Toys R Us in Revere, MA the next day, about 45 minutes away give or take. That Toys R Us is next to a hotel that was known to be a place wrestlers stayed, and there was a gym a block or two away, I think it was a Golds, that wrestlers were known to work out at when they were in town. That Toys R Us is also on the road to Logan Airport in Boston. Why they were there the next day, I have no clue. The face paint looked like it had been washed off but you could see like a light grey haze of it, like they didn't quite get it all. Thrasher specifically.

He just said he saw 2 wrestlers out in public who he witnessed wrestle the night before in the same general area. Pro wrestlers aren’t supernatural beings, just dudes with cool jobs. They go places and do things. I’m from outside of Pittsburgh and used to see Shane Douglas at the mall all the time during the height of ECW. He was just there shopping because that’s what you do.(or at least did until Amazon)

Attitude for PS1 is still my favorite wrestling game of all time. Headbangers, Trainer, Jerry Lawler, were hilarious in that game. "Ow, my liver". I also have the Headbangers bone crunching action figures. I still have a lot of those figures from that series. I was super pissed that they discontinued and replaced it with the Titantron series figures. The new series were taller than the previous one, so they weren't compatible with each. So I stopped collecting figures.

My friend & I would often use his Chaz Theme from Wrestlemania 2000 on N64 that we downloaded from Napster for some absurd videos & sketches we made. You’re probably in the minority there I played the game a lot but also hated the game I just played it cuz I was a wwf fanatic lol but it really sucked the gameplay was awful I shouldn’t have to press up up down down square triangle x just to do a power slam lol that’s what ruined the game the engine they used smack down was light years better

@@litodat233 Sucks for you. Too complicated for some I know. Plenty of my friends love the game. Pressing circle plus direction to hit any move, L1 for finisher, talk about lame. Made for babies. Hints why I go back to attitude when playing old wrestling. Even Legends of Wrestling Showdown was great.

@@I_Am_The_Social_Reject again your in the minority with that one I don’t have a problem pressing a combination for a finisher which would make sense but to do a simple body slam ? Hell no that’s exactly why revenge and no mercy are considered to of the best wrestling games of all time attitude would never it completely sucked they were trying to bring mortal kombat buttons into wrestling didn’t work that’s why they lost the license and couldn’t make wwf games no more cuz they sucked lol but hey if u liked it that’s fine but it doesn’t change the fact that the game was very bad

@@litodat233 Nope game was considered ahead of it's time. We all grew up with the acclaimed games. The WCW games were fine but simple. Sorry you agree with the majority of internet game that all have such a great track record for what's actually good lol.... A body slam is treated by you internet fans the way AEW treats the Canadian destroyer. You have no idea why the acclaimed games worked, and why wrestling worked. The only reason I ended up preferring Smackdown 2 was due to content. Nothing more. Until that game, Attitude was king

@wizardwaluigi8623 I can't imagine playing Attitude in 2006 first time lol. I'm surprised you could get into it. In 1999 it didn't really seem off. But in 2006 so much tech had evolved. But it's cool that it captured your attention. To this day I wish a game had the combination system. Everything felt so hands on. I remember playing Smackdown and L1 was finisher..I thought it was so lame. Such a downgrade. And moves felt like cutscenes. I hated it. Games felt like games in 1999. Now everything is on rails

War Zone was pretty revolutionary for its time, and was a huge upgrade compared to the previous "Mortal Kombat" style WWF games we had. The graphics were really good at the time, you could create your wrestlers, great commentary by Vince and JR, and the hardcore matches were super fun.
