@@johncook9392and apparently HBK was superficially decent after he found religion, but he could still be cold if he thought you were beneath him. Not very “Christian,” but that’s what I’ve heard. I might have heard it on the channel from Stevie. And that’s where I think AEW is like WWF in the mid 90s when they were struggling. The so called “Elite” are like the Kliq with less talent and they go around burying guys they don’t like. Bret Hart did the opposite. He elevated guys he thought had talent. The main reasons we got the Attitude Era were that Vince suddenly realized he was a heel after the Bret incident, HBK left the company and that left the door open for guys like Austin and Rock, who Bret had elevated, to take main event spots. That wouldn’t have happened if Shawn was still on the main roster. And the company would have suffered as a result.

As far as rankings, I met Stevie at a convention, and I'd give him an A or even an S. The dude was so chill and friendly. Edge was also an S. He asked me how I got into being a wrestling fan, my favorite matches. He stayed past the time he was booked for to make sure every fan that wanted to see him did. Can't fault him on that.

Really good analysis and I enjoyed your input on Austin. I think you were spot on about wrestlers being protective of their spot on the card and considering how white how Stone Cold's rise to the top was I can understand him not wanting to make a misstep and tumble back down the card.

I’ve met a lot of wrestlers and I’d say Booker T was the coolest. Talked for awhile had laughing at my jokes. A lot are nice but still treat you like a fan.

I love love love this whole series of videos! I’ve always liked your characters! But I had no idea you were so amazing!!!!!!! CM Punk is my all time favorite (it was Hogan as a kid. I was young and stupid) But I could become a Stevie Richard’s Stan fast. LMAO. No but really I’ve meet CMPunk once and I was really scared. I wasn’t on my A game. My son had passed away a few months before and I wasn’t even gonna go but it was that or cry in bed and it was a gift and I didn’t want to be rude. So I crawled out of bed and went. By myself I might add. Idk if he could sense something was wrong with me or what but he may be the nicest person I’ve ever met. And not just because he’s my favorite. It was the comic con in January before he left WWE in 2014. So I’m glad I went. We didn’t talk much but I’ve got my pic (I’d love an updated one with us old) and I listened to his stories. Which took my mind off things for a couple hrs. I know now he was really sick. So I’m even more grateful HE went. Please keep up the series I could listen forever! 💖

I felt that, when he was talking about Eddie, I lost my younger bro n I can relate to that, when you're talking about em n it just chokes u up. Stevie seems like ah really cool dude, I loved him in the BWO in ECW. It sucks how WWF would take ECWs top acts n put em in the mid card

Hey, Stevie. Just wanted to say I really appreciate everything you did for my childhood, growing up, watching wrestling. You, and guys like you, made it so fun to watch from the start of the show to the end. Thank you so much and I hope this podcast gives you everything you want from it. 🙌🏽

I've been lucky enough to have met several, even worked with Disco in Las Vegas. I've never found wrestlers to be rude, just a little aloof. I think they just have to have a guard up. Respect, please and thank you go a very long way.

The problem with these rankings is Stevie is too nice. Lol. That’s actually a compliment, even though it sounds backhanded. Seriously, no one would rank all these guys B or better (the C doesn’t count based on Stevie’s actual comments… Orton he really said was better than that). This is clearly more a reflection on Stevie than these wrestlers. The only way Stevie rates these guys this well is if HE is a good guy. These guys obviously respect and appreciate Stevie. This list reflects more on him than the guys he rated.

Undertaker sounds like d tier to me. Brock sounds like d tier to me too because neither were friendly. They were not unfriendly but they were not friendly either. Stevie is too nice to rate them a D.

@dumpsterfire79Ай бұрын
@dww7094 the guy has been employed in the industry for decades. Probably very very wealthy by now. Doesn't need to be political to keep his spot in the locker room or on a card. He can just book nxt, coach in the performance center, and keep cashing checks. Retiring from the ring probably took alot of pressure off his back.

After Cornette, the combo of Stevie and James make this my favorites Podcast (2 overall) - Of course I'm a big fan of James overall and whatever WSI does. But I will say James' professionalism and Stevie's warmth and compassion and insight might make my now favorite wrestler. BTW - I'm a little slow, what does S stand for on this rating system.
