I remember being shown this footage by a friend who had taped it off of TV a few days after it was broadcast and feeling weirded out listening to Immortal Rites with this guitar tone.

You mean that a horned winged creature with Crimson eyes appeared as a shadow on the wall getting taller and taller. The spirit of the Absu crept in covered with the sands of Armanth Xul and you surrendered your disembodied spirit to the Aryllia of Mummu Tiamat ? It happens to everyone, not that weird. I have over time development an amunity to it. The Temples of Pazuzu and Humbaba are getting pretty mundane and ordinary these days. I am no longer feeling that weirded out by the Lizard people of Eridu , just took a little time to adjust to the customs of a strange and distant land

@@ozricness okay? In English this time. What did you mean that the tuning on Immortal Rites weirded you out? Did you get some scary other worldly vibe? Or did you mean that it sounded different than the studio version, and were put off by it ? I tried to ask in Morbid Angel language, but it got lost in the translation
