This seems like a rouge like game but the issue seems they never ever go to upgrades after completing a level or dying. They just instantly hit retry and never upgraded anything so it felt like they were running in circles because they basically were since they didn't upgrade anything so all the items they collected meant nothing because they never spent any of it to upgrade. If they figured out to use the upgrade system I think both James & John would like this game a lot.

I think the problem was that they just kept hitting retry instead of upgrading things. They would probably start with more health bars or unlock different things to spawn or something

Yes, guessing upgrades works like in "Vampire Saviors"? And the cds are the currency.

Looking back to it, maybe we did hide the permanent upgrades a bit too much... For sequel, if there ever is one, maybe we'll go for more CoD style XP unlocks, more obvious?

it looks kind of like zombies ate my neighbors from snes the way the art on the buildings, and in that game is a little toddler that throws knives. that game though had great music, story line, and wasn't TOO hard. still one of my more favorite snes games.

Why is this game 1-player only? Seems like Zombies Ate My Neighbors but the best thing about that was the co-op mode. Also for Neighbor Nerds, so I just guessed it would be a co-op game.

This looks like a rogue-like game to me where you don't get to really save. You just get as far as you can as possible, die, upgrade, repeat.

I never really like this style, it's so frustrating to constantly lose all your progress, I don't mind some sort of setback for bad play in a game but full restarts mean you are just playing the early game just and over

It's a roguelike, you start over with each run. This game is a lot like Enter the Gungeon. Also, you can dodgeroll through the bullets, are you using the twin stick controls?

This game looks very fun, however this one looks like it could be played with more than 1 player. I better look for it. And guys, you should give a go to BroForce Forever, is like a Contra/Metal Slug type of game, but you can play with classic movie action heroes from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
