Headers, New Motor Mounts, Billet Valley Cover | Project Last Chance

Making progress on our LS swapped 1967 C10 Project Last Chance. We installed new headers wrapped in DEI titanium header wrap, Hooker Blackheart motor mounts and an ICT billet valley cover with a knock sensor relocation kit and stainless steam vent kit.

Looks like those hooker blackheart mounts can go in a forward or rearward configuration depending on which side you install them on. And maybe the motor mount plates are the same way. I have encountered that before with these 67-72 chevy mounts.

I have the POL in my 71 C10 with a 2014 6.2. I don't have much room between the radiator. I am going to take them out and try the Hooker series.

How much did the Holley. motor mounts lower the engine? It looks significant. I used a welded in motor mount for my LT1/L83 in my 37 PU. The engine doesn't have much angle to it, but I don't see thet as an issue as long as I match the pinion angle.

I’m not sure how much it lowered the engine but they moved the engine forward which is what we needed to clear the firewall.

Do you know how much it scooted the engine back?

nice work brother!! sorry i jus start washing your videos do you have an LT1 6.2 engine? I have a c10 72 project I'm just starting whit my son I am curious if you have the same engine we have we having a hard time to get the right motor mounts for are engine.

No worries and thanks for the support! This is a 5.7 LS1. I believe Hooker does make LT mounts for your project. Did you check them out?
