Great video. Chad has a great way of explaining things. Things that make a difference. I feel in this video alone my roping just improved. Thank you Chad and NRS!

To see a pro admit that he has weak spots and weakness makes me feel better as a new roper. Even the pros have soft spots they need to work on, why should I beat myself up when I just started.

The reason for the loop to almost figure 8 the nose is because his hand was beating the tip of the rope before it got to the horns or like he said he was delivering faster then his swing but that's just what I think

It happens more often when you reach because everything is more front to back than across the horns. You don't see it happen a whole lot when running close.

What is the preference for head rope, xxs, xs

The figuer 8 was in front of the steer not to the left of it so when you pull your slack the loop opens and come off. It is usually not enough follow through. But I ain't no pro

Evidently, Mr. Masters has thought A LOT about where his tip is located. Personally, I have always roped on "feel". Maybe that's why I'm sitting at home in my recliner and he's out there making $100k a year?????????
