Looked like a beautiful trip back, even in the rain. Looks like you chose the right moment to change the drive shaft and enjoyed every minute of doing the job.😀👍🦄

Nice to have such life long friends. I can't go back quite that far though I do remember many of those friends. At my age, sadly, I'm sure a good number are nolonger with us. Nice trip. Innovative repair job!

If your wipers attach by just clicking over a little bump on the end of the arm then any steel arm can be sawn down and a decent welt with a centre punch on a forgiving surface will give enough shape for the arm to hang onto. Done it with mine!

I would check marine vipers, they often have short viperarms. Better ones even have 2-speed and a sweep with a pause.

True, but once sorted, they work pretty well.

Peter I am glad that you are happy with your truck. However reliable is a trip I took with my Toyota Corolla for about the same distance with no loss of windshield wipers clutch or drivetrain. Enjoy your videos regardless thanks

Loved the trip. Been there DONE THAT with the U-Joints. Was at a BEAUTIFUL rest area in BC and had to repack the u-joints with all that I had (Vaseline). I did that two more times, but it got me thru the 400k to Jasper and PARTS. I bought that beat up Ford Bronco in Ketchikan for $700.00, drove it cross country to Kentucky and sold it for $2500. It got me home. ;P

Looking for short wipers. Look at rear window wipers on vans, especially GM Safaris and Chev Astros. Also RainX is your friend when wipers don't work.

Was there a ferry called the William Carlson, remember reading about that in the boat who wouldn't float, got to be my favorite book ever, or defiantly top five. well done great trip that would have cost over £2000 in fuel alone in the UK your making me want to visit Canada and well Newfoundland which I've wanted to see since I read the book, got to see Muddy Hole one day.

Hope you saved the original drive shaft. I’m guessing that with two new Hardy Spicer U-joints you’ll have a good spare drive shaft for your next adventure.

That wiper arm looks an awful lot like the one on my boat. It's about the same size. Maybe try a marine parts store? I'm sure you already thought of this, being much more salty than I am.

I think you are a little off on your placement of North Bay. I think if you check your handy dandy road atlas you will find that it on the northeast end of Lake Nipissing.

Cool fix of the wiper blade. Have you thought about using RainX? It works really good over 35 or 40 mph.
@barrykarow9065 жыл бұрын
I’d second the RainX, even with good wipers. Just keep your speed up as suggested.

I love Canada, I love Canadians, but Saskatchewan is way to barren for me. That's not the right word. Flat, broad, plain, and boring to cross. Lovely country, but not great place to pass through. Regards, Solomon
