LMC has a relay harness that removes the load off the switch. Definitely a must do for the new switch longevity. It may have been your channel that I heard about it. But I got one and love it. Great channel and great information.

That's good to know. Those relays are definitely a good safety feature. With all of my lights being LED now the load is likely much less on my headlight switch, but still a good idea either way.

they dont work with canadian model first gens with DRLS, havent figured out how to tap that harness in to make it work.

I have my lights on relays just because I pull my goosneck a lot and it has a lot of extra lights on it.

That's a good point. Especially if they are all incandescents

yeah that junk factory stuff won't last 6 months if you used it the way it is ! rewire the whole truck maintain and it will run for a long time

Hi there! Headlights weren't turning on (running/cab worked, and pulling back on indicator turns on brights), so I replaced switch from this great video! Unfortunately replacing switch didn't fix the problem. Do you have any ideas what might be causing my issue? Fusible link failure maybe?

Could you tell me what that button is on the dash to the right of the steering wheel? Mine is completely missing, there's just a hole.
@OvensGarage Жыл бұрын
That's the OD on off switch as well as cargo light switch if your truck has one for the bed.
@LifeisGood762 Жыл бұрын
@Ovens Garage Ah, cargo light switch. Thanks! My truck doesn't have the lights but I think the cab and dash don't match. OD off is up higher on my truck.

Hey, so watching your video, i noticed your AC vents are the same as mine, I believe we have a "Dealer installed" AC. Is yours AC evaporator in a seperate box in front of the heater box (on old blue)? Also the LMC harness works great, one or both of my relays went out and they replaced them under warranty and i have had that harness for several years. Cannot say enough about LMC Truck. Back to the install, the headlight switch doesn't even get warm with the LMC harness. Great video as always.

Yes I have the dealer ac as well. I don't like it as much as my 92 with factory ac but I do like how everything is mechanical unlike the factory ac it all runs off vacuum valves.

Does anyone know where to get oem set of cablights that aren't $350.00? For 1993 dodge w250.

Did you have to disconnect the battery?
@OvensGarage Жыл бұрын
I didn't, but it's probably a good idea to

what an unnecessary pain in the arse these mopar engineers really must have graduated at the bottom of the class ! if it weren't for the cummins they would have gone belly up navel first ! everything requires pulling the whole dash apart and its always for stuff that should last a good 50-60 years but it dies in a few years. voltage limiter for fuel tank replaced 6 in 5 years headlight switch i got rid of and put low on one simple toggle and hi beam /fog on another much easier to replace much easier to get parts for.
