Hello, fellow Manitoban here! How has the pan heater performed for you? I was initially thinking of installing a coolant heater in the lower rad hose of my BMW, but this would be a lot easier.
@OvensGarage7 күн бұрын
@@joel9291 it worked alright. I honestly didn't get much of a chance to use it last year because the head gasket blew in early jan and the car sat until this summer when I fixed it

Ok thanks for the response. I'm surprised BMW doesn't give the option to install a block heater. I owned an Audi previously and it was the same situation. Must be pretty temperate in Germany!
@OvensGarage7 күн бұрын
@@joel9291 the m54s actually had the option of a block heater from the factory. My dad had ordered one on his 2003 bmw 325xi when he bought it brand new. It was on the side of the block in the grooves.

On reassembly, you never showed how you torqued the strut top mount, or mentioned that upper and lower mounts should only be torqued with the weight of the vehicle resting on the suspension.

We bought a 1980s vintage log cabin here in Alberta this past year, and I’ve used Tremclad flat black on the weathered cedar trim around the exterior doors and windows. It looks fantastic and oils last far, far longer than the crap acrylics they mandate you use these days. Good choice!
