Thanks for you complete explanation on putting on new wires. I have been having the same problem and decided to replace both the right and left wiring harness.

About to go tackle this job myself. I've replaced all the bulbs multiple times, tired of taking the stupid thing apart lol. Got 2 new harnesses, 4 bulbs, and some dielectric grease. Pulled the DRL a while back after they went out the last time. Hopefully I won't have to do it again for several years.

Mines too. The passenger side. It was fine when I bought it but after my exhaust was fixed n stopped leaking the damn thing blew out once. I thought, went to change it and the light came back on. Bought new ones and a week later didn't notice it was out til mother said. It was on. Not the orange just the white. It's a brand new harness. I looked at the relays..nothing. weird ish. N yes very tedious work. 😒 Was hoping I'd see something I didn't see or know. I need to do a safety inspection to reregister n I'm not paying n arm n a leg cause someone has to take my front end off for 5$ worth of wiggling or inspecting work.

I'm from Honduras I still found your comment funny. I replaced the harness but the low light won't fire up but the high works. Not sure where to go from here asides from. The fuse box. The relay is good I tested it with a multimeter. Any ideas?

Did you check the fuses for the low beams? They are #7 and #9 in the fuse box and they're both 10A fuses.. Hope this helps

@@ecarroll3723 I had to replace the whole fuse box. The new(er) replacement fixed the issue.

Having the same problem

You may need to replace the wiring harness for the front lights. So far, the left headlight has not burned out, but I don't know if it's the new wire harness, or the fact that I disabled the DRL function.

Now can I get away without taking off the bumper completely and have it halfway forward?

Why you take out the fuse?
@TheLenaweeTrekker3 жыл бұрын
To disable the daytime running lights. The automatic light system will still bring the lights on in dark operating conditions.

@@TheLenaweeTrekker i am sorry for my questions this not afect...? Is because i have the same problem . But with the socket .
@emartinez6584 Жыл бұрын
the wiring cannot handle the electrical current change in daylight mode , over heating the wire behind the bulb , it would get hot enough to melt the bulb to the connection , removed the fuse problem solved , three years so far .

Did this actually stop the problem? Wondering 2 years later if it did it after all the repairs??
@TheLenaweeTrekker Жыл бұрын
I have not had any problems with burning out headlights since I installed the heavier light harness and disabled daylight running lights. The automatic headlight control still works when it gets dark.
