Do not use a screwdriver. First remove the plug by squeezing the tab on the bottom and pulling down. Then rotate the bulb out of the socket. Replace with new and make sure plug clicks in.

I had 12 years of road grime so I did use the screwdriver to loosen the tab from debris and then I did pinch the clip to remove it. So you both are correct but mine wouldn't release without the screwdriver first

Not everyone has the strength to press that tab down. It's difficult to remove even when it's new and outside where you can use both hands. Having dirt built up in the old connector and in a situation where you can only use one hand, it would be better to use a flathead screwdriver. This video is for everyone, and even for petite women with nails if they want to. There is no need to be sizing up tools here... 😂

Great video, but i have huge hands & only had to take off the lower screw & easily got to the bulb. Also needed nothing but my hands to remove & replace the bulb.

Awesome video easy explained 👍👍 yes those tabs are a pain in the ass God knows how many I've broken over the years on difft vehicle's that I have owned I love how people say all you have to do is press it squeeze and pull or twist yeah well if that doesn't work plan B use a screwdriver if locking tab breaks woopie fucking Doo it's not coming off easy anyways who cares

I don't believe you need to use a screwdriver in there if you squeeze the back side of that socket it's like a little lever and you squeeze the back side and it will release the little lock. But at least you showed how to get inside to the light.😊

Keep in mind... 1) Not everyone has the same strength to squeeze the tab down. 2) Not everyone is small enough to reach in there with both hands. 3) There is a high chance that the connector is filled with dirt and it doesn't press down easily like when it's new. Sometimes you just have to hack the system (screwdriver). 4) My videos are for everyone, even for grandmas and grandpas... I'm just trying to save a few headaches and a few bucks for people by sharing what I know and how I do things. I'm not doing it for money, as you can see from the number of my videos. Lol Thanks for watching and I'll try to load videos as I fix things around the house, but don't hold your breath. Lol
