Really excellent video. The step by step on how to remove the components saved me hours and several broken parts, I'm sure. For others tackling this project, the light panel in the front center on my Jetta does not have the sunglass compartment like the one shown in this video, so it took a bit of time to figure out how to remove it, but all the other parts came off just like he shows us. A little trick I discovered for removing the pillar panels; you pop out the clips like he shows, then you pull the whole piece upward to get it to come out. The receiving holes for the clips are actually slots with a wider section toward the roof. So, once you initially pop them out, you need to pull the pillar cover towards you to get it the clips out of the slots. I followed his procedure for glueing in the headliner fabric starting with the front half of the headliner board. But, I sprayed glue just in the center section, not on the curved sides. I did both the front half then the rear half this way, then I went back and glued in the two side portions. I struggled with stretching the fabric around the cut out for the front light panel. Because of the steep angle of the panel, I really had to stretch the fabric, and it pulled away from the board while drying, so the fabric doesn't sit fully into the sharp angle. When I got to the front part of the light panel cut out, there was too much fabric, so I had to cut out a couple of pieces which left a seam. I'll try to upload some photos. I figured, this part is forward facing and not visible to the passengers, so it wasn't worth trying to start over with new fabric. Maybe someone can figure out a better technic and post it. Overall, Adonay's videography and methods for demonstrating technique are well above par. I watched as many of his ads as I good so he can earn some money for his efforts. I hope he makes more videos like this.

Nice video. Idk why people always insist on going back with the fabric. I’ve done two of these. My 07 Ridgeline and my wife’s 13 Jetta. Instead of going back with the fabric, I spray painted them. Once you get all of the old adhesive cleaned off, pick a color that matches the interior, spray paint it with a couple coats, let it dry overnight and re-install it. Both of mine look good, and guess what, I don’t ever have to worry about the stupid cloth sagging again! 🙌🏽

Great Video! I did my gluing differently. I used 3M canned spray adhesive and only worked about a foot section at a time. I could not figure how I could glue the entire roof pan and then lay the headliner down without massive wrinkles. Working a foot at a time starting back to front seemed more manageable for me. Thanks for the video!

The video is generally good and helped me a lot taking the headliner off. Thanks for that. But if you look carefully at the end, there's all these dimples and creases, I bet in real life it doesn't look very good. And you know why? Because the golden rule of upholstery is: make as little contact to the material with your bare hands as possible. Hands are a bad upholstery tool: oily, greasy, pointy. @10:30 there's like 3-4 people tucking and pressing and adjusting... I cringed quite a bit at that. Also, it looks like way too much contact cement, especially the 2nd half, looked dripping wet, but hard to see for sure in the video.
