And the Matrix isn't even the only thing called "Power Pack". Energon cubes are called "power packs" too, which makes it even more confusing for new viewers.

don't worry about it too much, this was a dub for STAR TV which, lets be honest, was terrible. the japanese with subtitles is much better, the dub is just there for a laugh

I just realised neither Rodimus or Optimus have the matrix, shouldn't Rodimus be hotrod, I think he turned back to hot rod in the return of optimus prime right?

@@dieselexkore2063 Optimus died the next episode. Optimus went to Cybert(r)on without the PowerPack/Matrix for...whatever reason. Hot Rod, who they called Ro(a)dimus even when he's Hot Rod, went to earth to get it. He would then go to Cybert(r)on to track down Optimus, where Rod would "officially" become Ro(a)dimus Prime, leading to that infamous scene with the narrator saying "THERE ARE TWO OPTIMUS PRIMES!!" Then Optimus would sacrifice his spark to stablize the Vector Sigma Computer. Hope you got all that.

11 year old comment...but still correct. The Terrorcons and Abonimus are not only uninspired but redundant, especially when they're on the same team as the vastly superior Predacons. What the hell is Blot's alt-mode supposed to be?
