Also, why is it only a 2-in, 2-out audio interface when there’s 4-in and 4-out on the board?

Will it synch up to a drum machine like the best buddy?

new 2.0 firmware update? sounds 10 times better been waiting, the Aeros loop studio looks cool too idk?! I got their Beatbuddy already. Your gonna need a few studio tools to go along with that one if you want FX to voxs and guitars, not to mention a mixer or interface and with only a couple 1/4" ins and outs. this is looking better all the time as far as a writing/performance tool if you dont have the rest of the gear or want to lug around outboard gear to perform.

7:15 where that hum noise come from?. Is that from the unit or the guitar pickups?
@TidesOnEarth5 жыл бұрын
So the expression pedal could control different parameters for each song/loop? I.e. vocal effect for loop 1 and whammy for loop 2? Do you have to have that effect highlighted in order for the exp pedal to control an effect or could it potentially control it mid-recording even fx aren’t highlighted?

Juan Valdez I have. I’ll be posting a video soon, but the short answer is it suits my needs better than the rc300.

Juan Valdez everyone uses their looper in different ways. The way I use mine this is an improvement for me! The fx are useable. I’m reducing the size of my rig and the secondary functions are what I’ve been waiting for (fade/speed/transpose...) there’s a learning curve for sure tho, so don’t be discouraged when you first get it. Stay with it for a week! It’ll come.

What about bouncing down tracks inside the Looperboard?
@TidesOnEarth5 жыл бұрын
jRj Rauche you can select tracks 1, 2, 3 and 4 that are already recorded on to bounce into track 1 and it condenses all tracks into one essentially opening up tracks 2, 3, 4 for more loops. Hope that answers your question.

You keep bending down to work the touch screen on a live gig ? Appears to be an expensive larger "band in a box" effects pedal. Maybe I'm wrong.....but.... I can see this working in a studio not so much on live gigs.
@abaniko95 жыл бұрын
The tap dancing and bending over to adjust the touch screen are a concern as well as the steep price and learning curve. At the core of this looping technology are the same features already in the boomerang lll and side car. What happens when the touch screen goes south or that motherboard gets too hot and starts rebooting on it's own, in the middle of a song ? How much will it cost just to ship it for repair ? I gotta admit...This thing made me drool when I first saw it's announcement, but will love my boomerang all the more now and keep my external effects where I can see them and replace them when needed. Let's see the reviews in a year or so

I just bought one, probably without enough research. The tap dancing/ bending over isn't an issue- it's really only for when you want advanced features and is very intuitive. Like, you I worry about the electronics issues but so far so good. I love the interface and the flexibility- you can do some cool things with bass, electric and acoustic in one song all routed to different amps. I detest that it seems to tone suck- my Ditto X4 was true bypass when no loop was engaged so you just set and forget when not using. Now I have to move cables around or accept that there's a lot of digital happening to my signal when I want to practice without a looper. It's annoying as hell and seems to introduce quite a lot of noise into the signal.
@abaniko95 жыл бұрын
@@chrisjs6123 I would have waited at least 6 months. Do you mean literally routed to 4 amps? Why would you do that? My Rang lll will route to two. Or are you talking about amp modeling? If I detested anything about this thing and bought it @ #900, I would send it back pronto. Tone suck? Really? Do you know about the Boomerang lll and sidecar? I believe headrush borrowed strongly from it and added everything but the kitchen sink and hyped the hell out of it for two months and had them on pre-order till June. I hope this thing lasts and works well for you like my boomerang lll and sidecar has for years now..W/OUT tone suck...Wow!

@@abaniko9 It is insanely clever, the audio routing and mixing capabilities are on another level compared to anything else. The loop memory and ability to save and name loops is also cool- it also remembers your audio routing for each track. Amazing stuff. I balance i do think it is a solid bit of kit. My annoyance is that you can't just leave it on your board if you don't want to loop. If it's on, it seems to tone suck, there is no true bypass dry through option (maybe there is and I don't know about it?) The TC X4 just sits in the background, nothing to turn on and no tone suck. I have a workaround where i only route one amp from the Headrush and have one amp straight from the last pedal on my board, which is stereo so the signal is split at that point. That actually works well as a wet/ dry loop set up. I then have my bass amp running bass-looperboard-bass amp as well. Other option is a cheap stereo true bypass switch, I already use one for my Gamechanger Plus pedal which also seems to tone suck/ add noise. It's a stunning bit of kit but I can't help feeling someone like TC Electronic, Boss or maybe Line6 is going to do a better, more musician friendly version at some point. Waiting 6 months may have been smart!
