Really appreciate these videos Dave. The headrush has been something of a rabbit hole and you give helpful guidance on the "why" of all the settings. Keep up the great work.

These are really helpful! Thank you so much. Got my HR pedalboard a month ago but I cant seem to wrap my head around all the stuff but ive been watching a few tutorials and yours seems to be the easiest to follow, so big thank you bro! Maybe you could do a tone sculpting video in future (step by step) if you have the time? Cheers mate, subscribed!

This is such wonderful feedback. Thanks so much. I can do that for you man! I have a whole heap of HR videos planned to shoot, just ticking them off one at a time. But this is brilliant, I’ll try to get to some in depth stuff asap. Thanks again. 🤘🏼

Thanks for the tips!! I wish there was more information or description of all the different amps, cabs and effects. Some are just numbers... maybe they mean something to someone else but it would be great to have a reference manual explaining what each amp or effect is representing.

@@DaveWebbMusic Hi, yeah, I'm keen to see n know what some of the setting do on the pedals that HR has, not sure on most as to how they effect the sound and whats the goins on when changed IE: hi cut/ , I have the concept of putting a rig together, but what goes on to make a better chain n sound mixing pedal setting is a mystery to sweetn things up!

Nice video, Can you make a video on line6 Helix aswell? And may be talk about the tone and aswell as the tone feel on both the units?
@DaveWebbMusic3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I actually don’t have, and have never used a Helix. Otherwise I would. I do have the BOSS GT1000 Core. Would that interest you?
@gauravlama20793 жыл бұрын
@@DaveWebbMusic Actually I use Helix lt, but I am not happy with it for some reason like the tone feel etc, it doesn't feel good and comfortable to play.
@DaveWebbMusic3 жыл бұрын
Oh ok. My advice would be to find a store and try a HeadRush. I can’t compare cos I’ve never used a Helix. Do you use IR’s or stock cabs? IRs in the HeadRush make all the difference. BOSS pride themselves on their AIRD tech for feel, & the GT1000Core feels great. I think at times I prefer it for feel. Sound wise I have tones I love in both.
@gauravlama20793 жыл бұрын
@@DaveWebbMusic I use ML AUDIO IR which is a v30. With studio monitors it sounds ok, but the feel of the tone bro, it feels like I cant even play simple stuff like faster pick attack and feels very very unnatural to play. Sadly in India, nobody allows us to try these expensive gears, its like buy it or else we cant let you try it. Are u on Facebook and Instagram bro?
@gazzaduce34242 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave,I have just bought this and I’ve set it up in the 4 cable method and I’m wanting to use it for effects only as I’m wanting to use my real amp and cabinet but not sure what I’m doing wrong but I’m not getting my amps normal sound. I only want to use an overdrive,noise gate and then in the loop chorus delay and reverb.Anyway of helping me out with this?.Thanks in advance :-)

Hey mate. I just had a go, having never done it before and was experiencing a similar thing. It was my global EQ settings!! So I turned that off and it sounds spot on. I did need to adjust the send/return values to get the levels to match. Try that out! See if that helps you out. 🤘🏼
@gazzaduce34242 жыл бұрын
@@DaveWebbMusic Hi mate,Thanks so much for replying to me.I’ll give that a go later when I finish work.How do you change the send and return values and is there a certain level they need to be at?.I heard someone say on global settings change it from line level to amp level when using your own amp?.Is this correct and Is this the same as what you mean regarding global settings.PS I have subscribed to your channel and thanks again :-).
@DaveWebbMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@gazzaduce3424 ah yeah, change to amp level as well. There is a switch on the back of the unit, it’s clearly labelled. I’ll have to check if that is in global settings as well..? Off hand I’m not sure. The EQ in global settings is a different thing, but if it is engaged like mine was there will be an obvious change. So I had to change the send & return values in the FX block that is added. I just kept tweaking until the levels were even. Just toggle on & off until it’s about right. Thanks for subscribing! You’re a legend. I will do a video on this topic too, probably a good idea! Thanks man. 🤘🏼

hi how do you set up the rigs so that they have the same output? how much more output do you set a lead tone for it to cut through the mix? thanks cheers
@DaveWebbMusic Жыл бұрын
It’s a bit of mucking around. You basically need to test the levels and see how they sit. Keep in mind that boosting will increase the output, so set your loudest tone to be optimal output, that way you won’t be clipping.
Are you connected to an amp, audio interface? Are you running USB or headphones jack or outputs?
@DaveWebbMusic3 жыл бұрын
In this I was running out of the jack outputs. That is pretty much how I use it all the time.

I have a gapless problem Can you tell me how to quick change preset ?
@DaveWebbMusic3 жыл бұрын
By gapless, do you mean that there’s an audio dropout when changing presets? I find this happens from time to time, and is more obvious when a lot is being changed. Delay and reverb spill over can help cover this.

Distortion Sizzle! That's why I took mine back. Rest sounded great.
@DaveWebbMusic3 жыл бұрын
You sent yours back? I do think that sometimes it takes a bit of tweaking to get a rig sounding perfect, but for ease of setup and use in a live setting, it’s worth it in my opinion.

You also have to use impulse responses for the best sounds. With IR’s there is no artificial sound. It’s like playing the real thing in regards to amps.

You're not using alternate output, so it doesn't matter what is on the level. Not how it works.
