Very, very cool idea. While I’m pretty much locked into Line 6 Helix modelling with a Helix LT and Helix Native that I use for live and studio, the Headrush Prime seems like a really amazing concept, taking great useability a step further than it already was with the previous generation, along with improved tones. Really cool to see.

I really admire headrush for taking the initiative on this type of practice tool. I’ve used an ipad app with similar functionality for years, but it’s a cool idea to have it right in the board. My only concern with this implementation is that if I were using it, I’d want to go through a full song in practice mode, including changing guitar scenes many times through the song parts. Because practice mode replaces the pedals it seems like control of the patch is replaced with practice controls. Hopefully there is still a way to be in practice mode and still have control of the scenes and stomps.

A specific backing track must be connected, assigned, programmed in each rig.

Al I’m an old dude. Played since I was 12 after the military I had Phoenix bands one getting called up for opening for Ozzy and the Lynch Mob. Never worked with this level of talent since. I purchased the Prime as I don’t want to waist time any more. I’m running through a clean channel of my JP2C I need help finding out how to run the looper and changing channels through midi on my expensive JP2C Thanks for any assistance 😊

can you use this feature with your set list to create a backing track system for live one man band pub gigs?
@HeadRushFX Жыл бұрын
In theory you could use it that way, but the Practice Tool isn't currently optimized as a live performance tool. That's a great idea for a future update though!

I use the looper for this because you can download loops … so I make tracks on my computer then store them in the looper! The only thing I don’t like is having to reach down to load the next loop, wish there was a foot button for that

Ah man, I was hoping you could tap through to next songs... I'll probably hold off on purchasing until they make it more intuitive for us@@hmmmwhatever

How much memory does this unit have to load backing tracks? I've been searching online and can't find any info anywhere. I recall your older unit could store up to 9 hours of backing tracks...can the prime do the same?

Shit I just got the prime and noticed this feature. I'm pretty excited bc this is something I've always done off my phone through the aux input. For learning solos and playing along with songs. The app I have did all of this. I can have 1 less thing connected to the board now. This is awesome. Haven't tested it yet but does pitch control move in semi tones? Play a lot of mixed songs between E and E flat for example. The pitch on the app dropped/raised semitones so I didn't have to retune or get a different guitar out. I'm sure they thought of this but maybe someone knows off hand. Wonder how many songs you can fit on the internal storage so everything is always right there. This is even better than the looper. I have the Helix too but barely use it bc it lacks all these features. It's really fucking good for tone and effects though lol.

Good day. Have you noticed that the Practice Tool does not "remember" the settings? If you turn off the backing track loop button, then when you turn on the device again, the button is turned on again. It's the same with the volume, every time you turn the device off and on you have to reset the volume level. By the way, if you play while standing, it's hard to see the name of the backing track. The letters are small. They could increase the entire bar on which the name of the backing track name is located and reduce the virtual “play” and so on buttons at the bottom. The makers of Headrush Prime should be informed about this.

Can it store more than one loop? Like intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro so that kick in whichever loop is needed at whatever time.

When cloning the preamp of a head only, with no cabinet involved, the waring says not to connect the powered speaker output into the mic input of the Headrush. What am I supposed to put in-between the 8ohm jack on the amp head to the mic input on the Headrush? A DI or LOAD box I am assuming? What's the difference?

What is the quality of the vocal effects?
@HeadRushFX Жыл бұрын
There's a full suite of high-quality vocal effects including Antares Auto-Tune. There are harmonizers, doublers, a choir effect, delay, reverb, compression, de-ess - everything you could need!

can I use looper with practice tool?
@michaelpal76419 ай бұрын
One track at a time? Why can't I load a set of 10 custom .wav files imported from my DAW and be able to go thru them like a set list? If I could take my original and export everything except vocals and lead-theoretically, you would be playing on the track and playing live with the Headrush.

So just to confirm, at this stage you wouldn't say the Prime has a built-in backing track player capability, like say the VLX3 does?
@JasonBellisle Жыл бұрын
Yes it does, you can load in a track and play along with it just like he did in the video.
@SimonTennant-y3t Жыл бұрын
@@JasonBellisle Yeah but that appears to be one track at a time though ... that's what everyone is saying in their reviews. That's not a backing track player like the VLX3 which allows you to upload hundreds to play back any of them on command.
