We needed to try and stretch-out some more space from our storage room. In this one, we walk through some of Keegan's work in building a headset wall and cleaning off the shelves in GN's storage room.

G'day Steve, Awesome Job with the Headphone Wall Keegan, using the Door Stoppers was a Brilliant Idea, P.s. Steve I looked into Wildlife Rescue South Coast & they have their monthly meetings in the Nowra Public Library, I live in North Nowra NSW so I will be going to their next meeting on Wednesday the 12th to see how I can volunteer my time to help, I suffer from Severe Depression & Anxiety, I have been thinking of doing something like this for a while as my psychologist said it may be a help to get me outside more often, WRSC has a few ways to help so there may be something suitable for me & be a help for me mentally 😁

I wonder if Steve has to keep track of the value of all the things he gets to review for insurance reasons (etc). I'd imagine if that place, for example, burnt down there would be significant value -- even if they are review samples. Boggles my mind to have practically a storage unit full of cool tech and still barely having space for more.

The hardware store also sells a type of floor padding that fits to together like puzzle pieces. These can easily be attached to a wall with adhesive pads. For studs slip in L brackets between panels (on top of adhesive pads)(or glue bracket to back of panel). Is a option that does not require screws.

Seeing that 4:3 monitor made me remember a cool thing I saw and am in the process of doing now. Have you seen that you can convert old or broken LCD panels into super high quality soft box lights? It's really cool, and nice way to recycle old displays. I'm making a small one from a broken Palm/HP touchpad and a 15 year old laptop screen. :)

Hey Steve, I design sprinkler systems and just wanted to say the storage room is a high hazard for fires. Don't know if the building is sprinkled, if it is, it probably isn't up to covering racks with plastics

Z reviews is another channel with a lot of demo stuff. Every month he does a "yard sale" online. Clears out old review gear and other stuff. Not sure what the clearance mechanism is, but it's worth looking into doing something similar if you are getting storage-limited.

I personally would have bolted the wood onto the end frames of the shelving. That way 4 bolts through the wood and shelves and 0 holes in the wall.

Ha! Funny use of L2 cache. I am currently in the process of trying to get rid of our old storage unit. I am personally of the mindset that, generally speaking, if it has to go into a storage unit, it should just go away. I hate storage units because they keep constructing them near us, and they keep tearing down trees and bike trails to put more storage units in. If I can reduce demand by 1 unit, that'd be great. Secondarily, it'll sit there forever and be a waste of money (we could just buy whatever it is again if we need it that bad), since we would only put cheaper things like cases in there anyway.

But really that's awesome of you guys, I wish more influential people were focused on these issues. Lately it does seem like we're moving in the right direction with the teamtrees movement and all the charity work you/gamers nexus have done, plus the stuff like donating computer parts to schools in need. I hope this mindset becomes more common in the future
