The Evolve 75 actually sounded better to me (probably because the mic is a bit longer and positioned better) but the 85 still cancelled more background noise. For the $150 price difference, I’d probably stick to the 75.
@frida5073 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure which one sounds best, so the price difference wouldn't be worth it in my case. Maybe if you're in a very loud environment. Also the 85 seem big. It looks like they could be a lot to wear for prolonged time, but I haven't tried them of course could be wrong.

@@frida507 It really just depends on the users specific needs. Some customers want a headset that reduces the most background noise, but gives them a headset that can also be used for personal music. A nice feature we like about the 85 is the ability to hide the microphone in the headset. So, when you’re done with your business calls, you can hide the mic and jam out on your music without a mic being in the way. The good news is there’s a headset designed just for about anyone’s preferences and needs :)

One thing I would say, as a Jabra Evolve 75 owner: I bought this headset after countless (at least 10) Logitech headsets. The Logitech ones cost about half of the Jabra headsets, but generally failed after between 6 and 12 months. As well as the inconvenience I became embarrassed how many warranty replacements/refunds I received. I've had just the one Jabra headset, and have used it for many hours on most days, for 3+ years. The most it has needed is a few re-pairings. The difference in build-quality is just startling.

I really like ur video. I have the 75 and I hate it. Had it enough to say that I cant really longer work with it, my ears hurt, I get headaches and so on. Not really enjoing the „ANC OFF“ Mode too but yes, if the software is good, the mic is very good. But they also have a lot of update issues so if u decide to buy a jabra you have to use their apps because they update a lot. I am glad that I can tell u: I ordered the last days the new 2 85 and hope they will help me with my issues. So I mean I work 8 hours per day and sometimes I have a call session without breaks for 4 hours - 7 hours and after one or two hours u will know what I mean!

I have 75 for 2 years now and it is perfect headset for me. Light weight, gentle on ears and sound quality for music id very good and the amazing part is noise rejection ( not canceling) is very good if you get the microfon very close to your mouth the receiver will hear no tv sound playing in the background. The only negative for me is ANC. It is like it does not exist 😁 I have ear buds jabra 75t and ANC works perfect but not for 75 model. Letterly it is like you dont have it.

Great comparison! online I see "UC" anc "MS" what's the difference in the real world?
@HeadsetAdvisor3 жыл бұрын
Hi Denis, the UC and MS are identical other than if you plan to use only Microsoft Teams, the MS variant will be more plug and play, and give you some features like pressing a button on the headset to bring Teams to the forefront. Other than that if you plan on using anything outside of Teams or a mix of Teams and another provider like RingCentral, always go with the UC variant. If you have any other questions, let us know and we'll be here to help.

I thought your voice sounded better on the new model by a fair margin compared to the older evolve 75. I have a few questions though. Does the evolve2 mike have ANC? Or just the headset speakers? Also, it might be helpful if you show all the settings in the Jabra app; for instance does the app allow you to adjust the amount of ANC of the mike and of the speakers? Does the USB dongle use Bluetooth to connect with the headset, or does it use 2.4 or 5 GHz or some other method of connection question in other words, since these devices can connect simultaneously to just to Bluetooth sources, does the computer count as one? Because I would like to be able to switch between my Bluetooth cordless phone, my computer, and my cell phone, but I am not aware of any device that can do this. The 85 can remember eight connections, so what happens when third Bluetooth device that is in that memory of eight becomes active? Do I have to go into the job rapine selected, or will it automatically get selected and then drop one of the other two connections?
@HeadsetAdvisor3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff, ANC is for the speakers rather than the microphone. Both headsets have a noise canceling microphone. That being said, no headset we've tested will 100% block out the background noise. You'd want to add AI noise canceling software like Krisp to further reduce the background noise. The USB Dongle is Buetooth, as well as both headsets. We haven't personally tested your last question but we know for certain you'll be able to seamlessly connect between two devices. When the third bluetooth device becomes active, you may have to select the Jabra device.

We've never tried but in theory if your PS4 is compatible with a Bluetooth headset, it should work. You'd put the PS4 and the Jabra headset into pairing mode in theory should sync together.

If ur workong in the office and u need help sometimes from a colleague it probably could be better with the 75 if u have the customer or colleague on the ears just because it is a ON EAR and not over ear. So i hope the 2 85 has a good „ANC OFF“ Mode to help me, understanding both talking persons without hiding the headphones from the ears

Great points. The Evolve2 85 you can turn ANC off or on which is good, but the 75 will be best if you want a mix of zoning in on calls and still being able to hear coworkers. The Evolve2 85 is more heavy duty with a goal of blocking background noise, which could cause hearing others around you to be a challenge.

Do the headphones fit a child-sized head? I'm a little person and have found that over-the-ear headphones aren't the best. which technology is the usb dongle using? everyone say we should buy just headsets with DECT as technology because bluetooth will be hitting to many problems which to much people on an openspace office… is it true what do you mean?

Bluetooth is fine but what customers are doing is buying day $30 Bluetooth headsets and trying to pair them to their computers + cell phones and coming across a ton of compatibility issues. If you purchase compatible quality headsets like these, Bluetooth will be fine. The advantage of DECT is you’ll get a lot longer wireless range. 300 feet vs 50-80 feet for example.
