Either way, the lack of witnesses and other evidence together with disinterested and primitive investigating mean that few cases ever reach full trial in the courts. The police are the first and biggest obstacle to victims and their families obtaining justice in the Philippines. Lack of access to justice or equal representation is a form of injustice and discrimination against the poor. Most citizens have the understanding that they have the right to an attorney, and that the poor will be appointed one when they cannot afford it. So, i say why not welcome icc. it would be a good thing to improve the primitive way of investigating in the Philippines and people will benefit more through it. the Justice system in Philippines is poor, that is why the country is in this mess. it is what it is.

And best of all, even if the US is not a state party to the ICC they still provide funds THRU the ICC trust fund victims, they call it the TRUST FUND FOR VICTIMS. If there is one country who is a keen observer of human rights violation, it is probably the US as #1 hence they put this trust fund.

Tanong lang po bakit hindi nyo kasuhan dito sa pilipinas si duterte? Diba gumagana naman ang justice system dito sa pinas. Saka alam nyo naman na walang jurisdiction ang icc sa pilipinas ilang beses na yan sinabi ng pangulong pbbm. Wala namang problemang ipilit nyo ang mga gusto nyo basta naayon lang namn sana sa batas ng ating bansa.

Obvious ba? Syempre malaking tao ang babanggain nila, baka isa isahin pa silang ipatumba sa lawak ng mga galamay kung dito sa sariling bansa ilalaban ...hindi mo masisisisi kung sa ICC sumaklolo ang mga biktima ng EJK..... kung alam nila o wala na silang tiwala sa justice system dito. Kung may paraan naman na pwede sa ICC why not.
