Cannot speak to a partner who lies & repeats the patterns as you suggest to reduce triggers - it’s repeated trauma out of left field for the one who is innocent - Pls speak further about this/ thx Doc

T in HURT = TALK. Talk with whom? Are you suggesting the betrayed spouse STAY in a relationship with the BETRAYER / CHEATING SPOUSE?
@DocSnipes5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and for raising this important concern. The intention behind the "T" in HURT-Talk-is not to suggest that anyone should stay in a relationship with a partner who has betrayed them if that doesn’t feel right for them. Rather, it focuses on open communication in relationships, whether you choose to stay or move on. In this context, "talk" is about expressing your emotions and needs clearly, whether you’re trying to work through the betrayal with your current partner or navigating a new relationship. For instance, if a current partner’s phone dies, and that triggers memories of when a previous partner would turn off their phone to hide infidelity, discussing these feelings can help your new partner understand where you’re coming from. Letting them know what triggers you allows them to offer support and reassurance, helping you feel more secure. Ultimately, whether you choose to stay in the relationship or not, expressing your emotions and processing what has happened is an important part of healing-whether that’s with your partner, a therapist, or trusted loved ones. Also, if you’re comfortable, please free to share what you found most useful from the video.
