Nice to see a female going into the farrier trade, and she looks to know what she's doing. Agree the leg wound looks much better, excellent job of staying on top of it. She may be pawing because it is healing and itches. Another great episode, just always want them to last longer LOL

Horses are the best! When I was a kid I had my horse and the neighbors had two. I took apples down the field to feed my horse, Sparkle and their horses came to the fence for their treat, one of them bit my arm, but since it was under a thick coat, no harm. I scolded her and told her to not do it again if she wanted an apple, she stopped acting up and waited patiently to be given her apple. Yes, they understand what you say. That was the best time of my life in high school and having the horses to spend time with.
@barbll0002 жыл бұрын
Great video as always. I so enjoyed seeing the updates on the horses I remember you saving from the auction. I remember the white horse at auction that couldn’t put it’s left foot down and I wonder if he/she had the last act of kindness? I always like to know what happens to these horses when they’re highlighted on auction night so I can feel a sense of closure, especially if it’s the last act of kindness.
@StarJellie2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean a white pony? If so then yes the pony was given the last act of kindness. Turns out the bone was broken a long time ago and the whole knee had ossified so the leg was frozen in place.

Thank you for your work I look forward to your videos but wish you didn't have to be. I took in a horse many years ago that was mistreated and totally shut down. Gave her a promise is she was a good girl I would take care of her forever. I just had to do the last act of kindness just shy of 30 years old and would have taken care of her for another 30. Miss my girl but so proud I could be there for her and offer her wonderful years to her life. ❤️ keep up the good work no one can do it all alone.

Do you let your volenteers ride a horse for all the work they put in? ( cleaning up manuer, painting etc? ( alot of volenteers cant have a horse, and would love to have riding time to reward them for their hard work, time, and efforts. Years ago, i tried volenteering ( before i got a horse) i wanted to ride so bad, i never got to..all i did was chores. It was kinda discouraging. . Untll, i FINALLY got one small ride on the back to see if that horse would ride doubble lol..umm, i was holding on for dear life ( he crow hopped hard), but by the end yes, he would ride with 2 riders .lol.
