I've noticed that in the UK, there seems to be much more respect from the doctors to the nurses than in the USA, and the nurses are given much more responsibility as well. There also seems to be a higher level of care for people's well being than in the USA also.

I. Believe they actually care about human life. It’s not about the money! I wish the US was this way! I love the way the patients are cared for on this show/real life! Amazing Job to the Heath-care professionals across the pond! I know where to go if I get hurt when I come to visit!!! 🥰🙌🏼🥰

I was in the hospital here in Germany recently. No bedside manners, no smiles. When you are in pain you need some kindness and feel that people actually care. I have experienced it here, but it's extremely rare.

When healthcare is free, these are the abuses that occur. They happen in the US too when people don’t have to pay to be seen in the ER. Why wait to see your GP when you can go get seen today in the ER. That’s part of the reason that ER wait times are so long. Lots of BS there that should have gone to urgent care or primary doctor.

To an extent I totally agree. But... not all chronic pain conditions are the same. For example, I have RA and while I'm almost always in pain, it's way more bearable than this young man's pain. Though pain is subjective, there are some conditions that are inherently more painful than others. I can live with my pain even though it's annoying and does affect my daily activities but having vascular pain attacks is obviously awful and a lot let easier to manage.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis in my hips and back plus Tarlov Cyst Disease. My Doctor left on vacation without filling out a form to have my pain medication covered; this is the 3rd in a row he's done this to me. He had 3 warnings a month before that the form needed to be completed. Even with pain medication I only get about 30% relief. My previous Doctor had my pain almost gone through a Fentanyl patch Rx. I lost 80 lbs, could walk everywhere, it was heaven. However he developed an opioid addiction himself after being prescribed percocet when he had his wisdom teeth removed. He would write Rxs for his neighbour and her boyfriend and buy back half the percs at $3/pill. He finally got busted somehow and had his license to practice medicine revoked. He was a young Doctor, very well liked too. Now he has written 2 books and counsels other medical professionals about the dangers of opioid addiction. He is angered though that people who really need strong pain relief can't get it now. You can't even get a new Doctor where I live if you're on an opioid or a benzodiazepine. Sorry for my rant.

Some people have such a difficult road, in life...makes me feel so grateful, even though my health isn't the best anymore, but I'm a lot older now too, 74, so I do feel really Blessed. I just read that Bechets, for most, gets better with age & most people have a normal life span...sheesh, they have to get through all that pain though, when they are young!

Here in the US, for people who have chronic pain, they go to pain specialists. The pain specialist would use different things to help. One is called a pain pump. It is a small, flat pump filled with pain medication that has a tube that is inserted near the spine and releases pain meds directly to the spine, which delivers pain relief.

Everyone in medicine knows what a pain pump is and they are only suitable for some things and they don't just go into the spine. The lad has Bechets. You don't just give pain meds. Chronic pain in the UK is treated by pain specialists as well, just like in Canada, the European countries, NZ and Australia (and probably everywhere else).

with your attitude, you are part of the problem with the NHS. A&E stands for Accident & Emergency. A stubbed toes is NOT an emergency. He walked out with a diagnosis of a bruised toe, not a life threatening emergency. I suggest you come to America and attempt going to ER (A&E) with a bruised toe then deal with your medical bill. That man walked, unaided, out of the hospital. He should be mortified and ashamed for wasting valuable NHS resources......and for taking doctors' precious time away from people who really needed it. I've not watched entire vid yet, but re toe: maybe not as first port of call, but if something is broken or suspected as such a GP is gonna simply send you to A&E anyway for x-rays. The fact that he's given time for swelling and bruising to go down and it's still a problem says to me there's possible deeper issues. I've broken my toe and another bone and was essentially laughed at by GP as they thought it was just bruised due to the fact I was walking. Never mind the fact I was walking with my ankle rotated so I didn't actually use my foot. It took turning up at A&E like this guy to get seen properly. Not always a waste of time. A fractured wrist has also been passed off as bruised too. Sometimes emergency can be needed for small things and if it IS confirmed to be simple bruising at least you know. A bone healed wrong causes ongoing issues

@@eternitydoorwell said! There is no rule book on when you should go to the ER, you go when YOU feel it is necessary. Dr. Gets paid either way if he's seeing someone or if he's waiting to see someone.

I am sure there is more to it than that. Maybe she realised that she did love him after all, and the kids.

@@tracyruiz4539 maybe she actually realised that her actions have very real consequences and at least came back to help her husband. I hope it is for real but who knows.

I want to know if it's a show or a real story in this hospital, but I really like watching it. From Thailand, I really like the nursing system here.🫶🏻🫶🏻🙏
