I was diagnosed diabetic on meds. I started drinking 2 shots of whiskey before bed, 7 months later, I am no longer on any meds. All I changed was drinking whiskey. It's now been 1 yr. No blood pressure meds, no diabetic meds, nothing. I've lost weight, and my blood work came back great. Whiskey immoderation is key.

Im Irish, 63 now and my favourite drink is whiskey. Nothing compares, ( sounds like a song by Sinead OConnor and she was not talking about a lover but about whiskey ). My mother loves the tipple too, so I think I must have inherited the whiskey gene. Ive never had flu in my life, and its rare I get anything, cross fingers and toes.

I used to be a beer drinker. I hated whiskey. Out nowhere I was really in the mood for whiskey even though I didn't like it. So I went and bought a bottle. I had it on the rocks and I haven't looked at beer since. Beer is now extremely boring. It still taste good, but it just doesn't have the depth and character and uniqueness of whiskey. And beer doesn't have that same kick after a long day. Idk how, but I'm all of a sudden a whiskey drinker and it feels great.

I like it with one ice cube and a tiny splash of water just to make it smoother. It’s great for my type 2 diabetes as well. I also think that under the common world economic situation, it helps for anxiety levels as well.

Yes i agree, in modersation its like a miricle drink. The key is you have to drink in moderation , which is what i did for many years, untill i went through some really hard times and drinking from 2 nibs or shots a night or day, 4 to 5 shots or occasionally 6. Mind you i never drank it strait. i mixed it with water A lot of water but not too much to where i could not taste it. Anyway, For years it got me through big stress, illnesses and made me a much more productive person. The hard thing is that its so good that you drink too much. I have deided to quite after i started drinking it more heavily to wear i went from a few to end up being drunk and feeling like crap next day. I ts truly hard to be a moderate drinker for long time

Do you have any idea on this: What type of W has the most benefits? For instance, ellagic acid, is it the same amount in all kinds of whisky, any studies done on that? Is it that single malt aged whiskies give you the most benefits as compared to for instance Jack Daniels?
@jaybradley8094 жыл бұрын
Great question and one I honestly don't have the answer for right now. I'll see what level of Ellagic acid comes from barley versus corn (which is heavier in bourbon). Once I have some more data on the specific whiskey (blend, malt, rye, corn etc) I'll come back to you. Thanks for the question

As with any other type of alcohol, whiskey is believed by many to have mild to moderately beneficial effects when consumed in moderation. This means drinking no more than 3oz of whiskey per day for men (2 shots of whiskey) and 1.5oz per day for women (1 shot of whiskey), with no additional alcoholic drinks.Sep 20, 2021 This is from a google search btw not sure if its correct you need to do more research.
