Health records management faces various challenges, stemming from technological, organizational, regulatory, and ethical factors.
Data Security and Privacy, Interoperability and Data Integration, Data Accuracy and Completeness, Technology Infrastructure and Accessibility, User Training and Adoption, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Ethical and Legal Issues and Resource Constraints are some of them as illustrated by the Health Information Manager.
Addressing these challenges requires a multifaceted approach involving technological innovation, organizational leadership, regulatory reform, and ongoing education and training for healthcare professionals.
Collaboration among stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, technology vendors, and patient advocacy groups, is essential for overcoming these challenges and advancing health records management practices.
