Enjoying your vids! I just got the 9th edition of the SPT manual and workbook. I’m self studying. Is it really necessary to get the AORN book?

No need at all to get the AORN, it won’t help on the certification exams. The 9th edition you got is perfect.

I'm almost finished with my course, my exam is all I need to finish. How would you recommend one get started? Call around hospitals and ask HR who's offering internships? Also, i'm always curious to know what the dress code is. Do you go to work wearing scrubs, then change into the ones provided for the SPD? Thank you for the videos very helpful!

You could definitely call around and ask HR’s. I’m not sure HR always knows so you might ask for email to contact SPD leaders as another route. As far as dress code, the hospital issued scrubs are basically your dress code. My employees basically wear whatever they want to and from the hospital. The only “dress code” I cared about was their scrubs when at work. Should be same elsewhere.
