Yes. OIG/HHS, CMS, FDA, the federal register, and a number of others, but those are good ones to have around.

It's been incredibly challenging to break into a compliance role. I graduated in 2022 with a BS in Health Care Compliance and Regulations (certified in CHC) and have been applying to positions that align with my degree. However, I keep facing rejections because I don’t have 4-6+ years of experience. In response, I thought I'd apply for entry-level roles and work my way up, but now I’m being told I’m overqualified for those positions. It feels like a Catch-22-unable to get a job because I lack experience, yet I can’t gain experience because I’m considered overqualified. I also considered pursuing an unpaid internship-since many opportunities are either unpaid or barely paid-but the hours simply don’t work for me. The only way to make it feasible would be to work a night shift job and do the internship during the day, which isn’t realistic. Plus, I can’t just quit my current job because, like most people, I have bills to pay. It’s a tough situation all around. I’ve always had a strong passion for healthcare. I became a CMA at 18, right out of high school, and have since volunteered over 800 hours in a hospital, earning recommendations from management. Yet despite this experience, I’ve struggled to break into a full-time role. Honestly, I’m beginning to question the choices I’ve made over the past 15 years (since I was 12-13) pursuing a career in healthcare. On the bright side, I’m grateful I didn’t incur debt for my degree, as I was fortunate enough to receive a full scholarship thanks to my academic achievements. If anyone reading this has gone through something similar and has any pointers or advice, I’m all ears.

First off I would like to say thank you for all of your videos. I appreciate them. I'm interested in financial health care. What type of careers are in this area? (I currently work in the business office at a SNF as an assistant, but I want to know where I can go from here)

Hi Ashley, thanks for watching! There are many careers in healthcare finance, you need to find area within this sector(ie. Auditing, Managed care) that you are interested in and that will help you locate the jobs in that sector.
