As a young man, I once tried to skip breakfast when doing heavy manual work and almost collapsed mid morning. Now that I'm 64 and retired, I find skipping breakfast is best. Also, a long period of fasting {including my sleep time} is currently helpful to, hopefully, help cure a stomach ulcer that's been plaguing me for months. I don't have any visceral fat but have about as much subcutaneous fat as a walrus. I'm an excellent swimmer and extremely proficient at frightening small fish. Best regards from Wales.

Thank you. I use your videos for the advice and info. I got hospital tested results yesterday (for the first time ever) that confirms progress. My blood sugar, and body pain were off the charts in Jan/Feb. I switched from super high carbs (pies, cakes, milkskakes, big sandwiches) to low carbs for 3 weeks using Keto. I lost 20 lbs in 3 week and then switched to my version of low carb. Based on what I learned here, I adopted an OMAD meal plan. It works well for me for many reason. I let my life events dictate meal time, although it is often afternoonish. While I do not have an A1C previous test to compare to, I can report official good news. All my numbers are now on the top end of normal for my age. A1C was 5.9, my weight is down, body pain is almost gone, and Docter said no meds are needed. When I started watching your videos, I would get glucose reads from 86 to HI. Now I plan and balance my meals like feasts, but never snack. The hospital doctor tells me to stay the course, my numbers are good enough and should get even better. Thank you.

When I was young, I only ate lunch and dinner within 6 hours, home cooked meals. However, I was overweight all my life. As an adult, similar, though dinner was when I got home after work, that would be between 7pm up to midnight. I was metabolically unhealthy and got progressively worse despite only two meals a day. Only with keto/ketovore am I able to improve my health. Now I try to keep my two meals within four or five hours, and sometimes just one meal a day. I also do multiple day fasts around once a quarter.

I generally skip breakfast, but if my activities dictate that meal prep would be inconvenient I sometimes eat around 2pm. I'm on a carnivore OMAD schedule and generally let my body tell me when it's time to eat. However during the summer months when the days are long, I sometimes work outside until almost 9pm. That is far too late to cook dinner after coming in! I try to not eat after 6pm. I'm glad to see that you recognize that everyone is different, and that some things work better for some and not so well for others. The key is finding what is right for you. And thanks for taking the time to produce these videos. Information and education is important in making the crucial decisions that affect our health. You provide a wealth of that. Keep up the good work!

What works best for me as a 43yo male 6'5 and 230lbs is fasting from the time I wake up until back home from teaching kids in Honduras. I enjoy having fewer choices and chances to break my fast as compared to the overabundance we have in the US. Staying hydrated is key and for me limiting caffeine especially while fasting. It really does work and as my body adjusts my energy stays constant through the day. It also helps my sleep stay consistent. Lots of protein, fat for flavor and staying full longer. Also, it really helps curb sugar cravings. IF is a game changer!

I know I'm betraying my lack of discipline here, but I can basically fast from the time I get up in the morning until I get home at night and not much longer without effort. Once I open the window, it's hard to close for a few hours. Sometimes I make a point of brushing my teeth welll before bedtime just to help reinforce that I'm done eating, but even that doesn't always work

I now do OMAD with healthy food I skip two three days food sometimes and I lost 30lb within 3 months. I wanna lose another 30lb. Losing weight it’s not enough 16/8, calories deficient is the key to lose weight. Not to think about food at all. Great content as always! Thank you very much! But I have to say that the good thing started to happen for me only when I went OMAD. My only meal is "breakfast" that starts about 6 AM and ends around 7:30 AM. After that only black coffee and tea (at work). This is may be not ideal but this is the best compromise between everything in my life. And by the way searing a steak at 6:00 AM is kind of cool actually. Cheers!

I eat about about 1pm and I'm done by 530 or 6pm. If I eat after 6pm I'll have killer heartburn, the kind that causes pain. That's my natural feeding window. It's been that way since working from home due to C19. If we go back to the office, I wonder how my body might adapt to that? During cycle week, I eat about 1130 AM, really hungry that week. Sure show off that KZbin award (you earned it!). I have done IF, OMAD, keto, ketovore and carnivore and I have fasted out to 3 days. I am perplexed by the circadian rhythm issue on when to eat. I am 47 so I just think it would be wiser to have small to no dinner but then I often find I have no appetite in the morning. Why body are you so damn complicated??? I will warn folks that if you have a lot of stress on your plate, IF may not be the best choice. I find that when Life is saturated with chronic stress, eating in the morning (high protein and moderate fats) is helpful.

As well as the HgA1c become around 4.2 from 7.2 and lowering the TGs to HDL ratio. However, my weight become lower than what I want! My weight became 79 kg from 105kgs and my height is 184 cm. I am pretty new to your channel, less than 3 weeks I think. I am Type 2 and have been struggling for several years. When I switched to a sedentary job 5 years ago my A1C was 5.5. It steadily climbed to over 8 by last Dec. On Metformin since 2017 and last Dec added Piogliyazone. My daily blood sugar check would always be 185+. Started intermittent fasting and severely restricting carbs about 10 days ago. My daily blood sugar checks immediately started dropping and are now below 140 and have been as low as 110. I went to the Doctor on June 30 for blood work up and reup on scripts. My A1C dropped to 6.8. I am amazed. I am still learning how to deal with this especially when my work day is usually 12 hours and I am on the road all that time. So I have to make the effort to take my food with me or find places I can drive through. You can order Wendy's burgers with no bun and they send it out in a salad bowl with 2 pieces of Romain. Thanks for your channel and all the info and encouragement. You may have just changed my life.
