Question. How about peanut butter, which has protein and fats (but also nasty carbs)?
@janice-ann71573 сағат бұрын
Hi kait. I get extremely hot when i drink red wine (I'm also not good with most alcohol, feels like i drank poison after a few hours) . I also have sinus issues and fermentation issues when i eat fruits and vegetables. I've a lot of gut issues. Could this be due to histamine problems? I would love if you could answer as no doctor is able to help me and they send me to different specialist who just prescribe tablets for all my different issues. I wish someone would take a holistic approach to my problems but they don't really listen to me😢

Maybe mention the gut health post biotics that eat histamine. Buteryate producing bacteriate get me out of of histamine episode.

What is also interesting is how our lifestyle changes our teeth. When I was a child I didnt have teeth issues and I was on a school where we always fought each other to the ground. Then I switched to a more delicate school for higher education without fighting and my jaw cramped. Now I have crooked teeth, extreme bruxism and my teeth dont align anymore. Now I ask myself if I would have had good teeth if I stayed on a school of "problem" students. Look at different athletes. Most grew up in poverty and shitty food and still have rock solid jaws. It's just so weird

Start with a 3 day fast. That will clean out most of your system and help reset your GI system. Then for one week stick with just meat, eggs, fish, and cheese. Butter, mayo and mustard are ok, too. After that, start adding 5 carbs per day, like a small lettuce salad. For the following weeks add 5 carbs per day for the week until you plateau, then dial it back 5 or 10 carbs. Don't depend on a scale because you will fluctuate too much. Use keto sticks. to manage your progress.

B6 as well as the DAO has helped me a lot. Also i avoid unsprouted wheat. Or just stay gluten free. Changing my diet is helpful obviously but avoiding foods isn't always the answer. Thanks for the video!

Seems kind of sparse, I don't see how that hits the protein goal, at least not on my calculator, Carbmanager.

Funny I ate a banana today and rarely eat them but I was starving from missing lunch and it was 4pm. Then when I saw your video I said what a coincidence. Are you diabetic or are you wearing the device to ck what the banana did? Just wondered.

Instead of trying to lower sugar why not make a medication that would lower insulin
@HealthCoachKait19 сағат бұрын
Because the insulin is there for a reason. If you're eating sugar, you need the insulin to take it out of your blood stream or else it will go too high and you will die. This is what happens with type 1 diabetics whose body's don't produce insulin.

I have noticed the past 5 years my sodium levels are at the low low level but not over the threshold of below low. I bring it up to my pcp and dietitian and they don’t seem worried. If it’s supposed to be low then I understand but it’s not supposed to be this low allllllllllll the time. They both say my body will let me know when it needs sodium and it does…I’m always craving salt. Unless, what you are speaking of is totally different then what I’m experiencing…I’m confused about my issue. My blood pressure is usually on the lower side and I use an antidepressant. Great content 😊

I discovered by using a continuous glucose monitor that I was profoundly hypoglycemic for the second half of the night, every night. Goodness knows how long it had been going on. I'm not diabetic. I had very disruptive sleep and woke up frequently feeling anxious. I just assumed i had bad dreams. Now I have a bedtime meal with 2 spoons of cornstarch, which keeps my glucose in the healthy range until morning. I had been persuaded that eating late at night was unhealthy, but ultimately my body knew better than the fasting brigade. Who wants ketotic breath anyway?!!

Can't thank you enough Kait for your excellent, informative videos. Have learned so much from you in the past few months, since my doc said I was "borderline pre-diabetic". No previous health problem. Have adjusted my nutrition and exercise/sleep schedules following recommendations in your many videos. Feel better than ever - now in my 80s.

Who eats rice alone? I. With veggies and protein it’s fine…if your not diabetic then raised blood sugar is ok ..why is it now a new craze to have permanent low blood sugar…starting more food issues .
@HealthCoachKait15 сағат бұрын
I am not saying the blood sugar spike is bad for people who are metabolically healthy. Unfortunately, that is less than 15% of the population. MOST people can benefit from reducing blood sugar spikes. In isolation they are not an issue, but frequency and size matter.

I was keto for months but unable to lose weight. In Nov. I moved to carnivore in an attempt to move blood glucose from 125 to the 90’s. I’m not there yet, but at 102, there is definite progress in 2 months of consistency. I write at age 82 because shifting insulin resistance at this age is SLOW. I listen to these videos to keep myself motivated. I wish I had access to this info years ago! Prediabetes is preventable. Keep on Kait…The younger folks don’t HAVE to become insulin resistant. ❤
