Windscreen is what the Brits call their windshields
@jackt61122 ай бұрын
Screen and shield can have the same meaning. From Webster: screen noun: ...something that shelters, protects, or hides (a window screen protects from insects) verb: ...to guard from injury or danger A screen pass is a play in gridiron football (as opposed to soccer football) is a short pass to a receiver protected by a screen of defensive linemen. Military pilot from U.S.: On aircraft in the U.S., with the U.S. being the one to name it as such, it is called a windscreen, even though for vehicles, it has been named the windshield. In the U.K. they use the windscreen for both. It would make more sense to use the same for both, with windshield being the most logical choice since screen is more subject to multiple meanings. In the U.S. we lift the hood to access the engine compartment, like the flip-up hood on a jacket. In the U.K. they call it the bonnet, which is less descriptive of the physical design.

Yes, you can pour rubbing alcohol in your windshield washer reserve tank. I do this, when winter weather rears it's ugly head. Once winter passes and spring sets in, just use regular windshield washer fluid, you'll be fine. Only use this for the front window of your car, while letting the car warm up and run. Once warmed up, then while driving your defroster will thaw out your side windows, etc.
