I love azure standard foods. I had a shopping cart for several months before I finally decided to just purchase the food and do it. Trying to follow a biblical diet in today’s world is hard. Once you start grinding your own flour you will have to adjust the recipes but it is so worth it. For me following the path that the Father has set has completely changed my life for the better.

Well said sis! It’s tough for sure, I feel like I run into issues constantly, but in other ways it becomes easier too and encourages me to be more mindful of my choices and to really hone my cooking/baking skills so I can trust the food I feed my family. Woohoo! That’s so exciting, you’re gonna love your Mockmill! It’s funny how a foreign concept can become like second nature within such a short time! One tip, if you’re not able to freeze your grains for several days to kill off any weevils or weevil eggs, you may want to pick up some diatomaceous earth to sprinkle in and kill off anything that might already be in your grain. I suggest you start with an empty bucket and do 1/3 layers of grain & DE. There are KZbin videos that can explain the science and I’ve heard that DE is a beneficial nutrient humans are deficient in. You may want to research that as well. I’m new to grains as well, in fact, I just got my Mockmill less than two weeks ago and made bagels twice! (They were that good 😋) One tip: unless you’re making really small batches of dough, you’ll be needing a Bosch mixer. I have two Kitchen Aid mixers and even my big 8 quart professional struggled a little bit. I’ll be buying a Bosch soon…lol

Thanks so much for the great advice! I just made my second Azure order and bought some DE to do what you suggested so ty for that because the last thing I need is wasted food. So awesome you got a mockmill too! I’m in love with mine already... works so well and the texture of the flour is wonderful to work with. It’s been fun learning how to bake with home ground flour for sure! So far I do only about 1-3 loaves worth of dough at a time and I just stick to hand mixing/kneading for now. If and when my family grows a Bosc does sound ideal :)

You’re welcome! I’ve bought the white buckets from both Walmart and Lowes. Amazon is an option too, just whoever had the best deals at the time. And all the spinning seal lids I got from azure! They have the best price.

You are so right! I've been able to try a few of the items since getting them home this week and I'm already very happy with the level of quality in the food, packaging, etc. I know I'll be back for me :) Any recommendations of items you really like from them?

@@frochoffthebranch I stocked up on grains, beans, rice, oatmeal. I love all the dried fruit, all the spices, Nancy’s vanilla yogurt, granola, mushroom popcorn, big blocks of Swiss and cheddar cheese. I haven’t tried any non food items yet.

@@frochoffthebranch I loved the Swiss , I ordered the cheddar but I need to see if they have a sharp cheddar. I probably won’t order the big block of mozzarella, it didn’t seem to melt to good.

wow that's awesome! we're on the same page :) I got my 5 gal food grade buckets at lowes for about $4.50/bucket which is the best price I could find. Azure standard sells a 3-pack of gamma lids for roughly $7/lid which is the best price as well!

@@frochoffthebranch Yes, we are. I'm taking some traditional cooking school courses and learning about fermenting and so many other things and milling my own flour and buying from azure was the next step with our family. It's nice to see there are others out there doing the same.

I bought food grade 5 gallon buckets at Walmart $2.96 each ( white buckets and they have BPA free and Food Grade sticker on them). I bought the gamma lids at Azure.

@@MayaKanaKa that's a great price. I had no idea Walmart sold food grade buckets. I bought ours at Lowes and the gamma lids from Azure. Do you use mylar bags? if you do, are those just for long term storage or can they be used for items that you will be eating from often?

Of course! #GR069 is the product identifier (I think) and it’s labeled as “ Lundberg Rice, Wild Blend, Gourmet, Eco-Farmed, Gluten-Free”. When I just checked they still have it listed and in stock so I hope you can get some! I’ve made it a few times now and it’s so delicious! I cooked it in some leftover broth from a brisket I had just made and it absorbed the flavors beautifully and had such a great chewy texture :)

My Personal reason for not shopping at Walmart anymore: Walmart no longer has the higher standard of morals or ethics. With employees and customers. Walmart does not support American made products anymore. Walmart is just another huge corporate business with cheap crap from China. Customers should not have to use a self checkout because there is only ONE register open. Walmart is no longer a convenient “one stop shop”worthy store. These are just a few reasons but I could (but I won’t lol) go on. Of course this is just my opinion.

Love my mockmill! If you have trouble with your homemade bread being too dense, check out vital wheat gluten from azure. If you add 1 tablespoon per batch (even if it makes 2-3 loaves) it will make it way less dense. Also, bread beckers on youtube and their website has been an amazing resource for me, especially when I first got into grinding my own flour. ❤ how are you liking that brand of butter compared to kerrygold??

Aw so cool you have one too! It hasn’t been long for me but I really love it so far and it’s helped me gain even more of an appreciation for the whole bread making process. Thanks for that recommendation for the vital wheat gluten... I haven’t heard of that And I’ve definitely been struggling to learn the way to bake properly with home ground flour but it’s a nice challenge. I will say though, my challah just isnt the same lol... so I will for sure order that next time. Also ty for the channel idea, I will check them out :) and the butter is delicious, but doesn’t take like kerrygold. Only a slight difference in flavor but within about a week of eating I don’t notice the difference and it is of high quality like kerrygold. I realized in the first week that maybe I shouldn’t have ordered so much butter from a company I had never tried lol but thankfully it’s very good. Freezes well in its packaging as well.

I love sukkot in missouri. I’m sure there are many! But all my favorite sukkots have been in missouri. I wish we could move there but we are stuck in Minnesota. Though when we visit friends in missouri I always feel right at home! I’m praying Yah will move us there in HIS time!

We just moved here from California and I can truly tell you that before a year ago I never would have considered Missouri but it appears to be a place of gathering for His people but even just here and surrounding states too. Good perspective you have though! ABBA’s timing is perfect always! He has you where you’re at to be a light there now so that’s special and needed for His kingdom like anything else :)

Yes!! I have been praying to move for many years but my husband has decided we are to stay here. My flesh isn’t happy about this but I know whatever Yah has planned is truly better than what I can plan. I agree Missouri seems to be the gathering area for many of HIS people. Many of my friends and families from my congregation have moved to Missouri ! I keep praying we will make it there as well!! We have a small family (compared to most Torah following families) and we could easily fit in an RV! I don’t know why my husband is resistant but I am trying to practice patience. :)

That's the main thing and I have seen the fruit so many times in my marriage when I choose to submit to my husband's guidance and try not to push things along when I think it's best. Life always seems to work out on time in retrospect :) I will keep you guys in prayer though, maybe we will run into each other one day!
