I just made these with oat flour & they came out great! I didn't have apple so I used 2 cups carrot. I think the apple would've helped make them a little sweeter. I'll try that next time 😊

Just made these and are absolutely amazing did add 2 tbsp of brown sugar and it was great but I frosting I used 200g of cream chesse but the quantity was still less but definitely recommended making

Just made these muffins - only had white spelt (which I mixed with some whole meal spelt / rye mix for the sake of a more “wholemeal” colour) - and would like to say they should come with a warning as they are sooooo yummy that I’ve eaten three still warm from the oven 😋😋😋😋😋 Your video recipes are really easy to follow, and printed recipes clear and easily adapted for quantity: thank you!

My frosting came out too runny with 2 tbsp honey (~50g). I think 1 tbsp would’ve been enough (also in terms of sweetness). Anyway the muffins without frosting taste super delicious! Thanks for the recipe ☺️

Hi!! I know this is a annoying question, but would you have a substitute recommendation for the flour in this recipe? I don’t have spelt flour here, I have Rye, oat flour, coconut Flour, almond flour and Cassava flour. Since I’ve never used Spelt I have no idea which other flour would be a good substitute! 😊 thank you in advance!

Hi Karen! Spelt flour is a 1:1 substitution with all-purpose flour. I haven’t tried using the other flours though. I do know coconut and almond flour won’t work without tweaking the recipe. Sorry though!

That’s to make homemade buttermilk that helps the muffins to get fluffy, moist tender texture. Hope it helps!
