Those companies make you addicted to this unhealthy food with chemicals. They make you sick with this food and you say thank you and even give them Money for putting your health at risk. With this mindset you think twice about who you wanna give your earned Money. Healthy food and you care about yourself or those Money sharks. Please think about it.
@freethink
@freethink 4 жыл бұрын
It'd definitely help if it was cheaper - and the convenience is a big part of it, too. After work or when you're in a rush it can be a lot easier to find something unhealthy than something good for you. Having fast access to good, affordable food makes it a lot easier to get in the habit of eating right.

I badly wanted to contribute into this kind of change and so seeing this manifested feels so right to me. I am so grateful and I hope we continue to support and help spread the word about them. It's viewed as more convenient and cost effective in terms of time, to eat commercial food. Cooking at home is great, but it takes time to buy the food ingredients, prepare it, clean the kitchen, etc. If you count that time and the costs, commercial fast food is often cheaper. The problem is not so much fast food, but that so much of fast food is unhealthy, such as fried, full of sugar and chemicals, etc. That's why commercial food that's designed to be healthy is encouraging,

Cooking indian food 3 times a day is time consuming and cumbersome, the reason we're able to eat the way we do is bcz many people, especially mothers in our social context,take a back seat and dedicate their whole lives to just cooking. In developed nations both time and talent is valued and they don't waste it for long spans of time, or so it seems to me as an observer.

It is about what customers are willing to pay for. I dont eat at the big "fast" food restaurant chains. I only tried them a couple of times. They are slower, more expensive and unhealthier than other alternatives.

I worked with a non-profit that serves food even we can't sell food for 5 bucks Canadian that would meet all food groups. US can due to population. Canada is vast in land and areas. Transport and food are more costly. What's scalable in US may be less scalable in Canada.Our model for dealing with poverty and hunger are sorely need of change. We do have good organizations that deals with food insecurity in a way of salvaging food that destined to garbage to feed people who need them. Even that for some may be too much to obtain for some. What US people do have are ambitions and passion.
