When I speak to women about extreme self care, I encourage them to have a favourite photo of themselves when they were a little girl on display and or on their smart phone to remind themselves of what this little girl needs. Most of us would not allow this little girl to go hungry, thirsty, or go without sleep. We would not send her out without breakfast. We would not force this little girl to work late. We would stand up for her and not tolerate her being bullied. We see the vulnerability in her (ourself) and become fiercely protective and compassionate. Keep up your work, Vera. Your message is critical.

Do you recommend me to go to the University to study computer science? Dual degree or full time? I played 21 years a role that I not I. After my High school degree I realised this.

Some of my tips: 1. Always have water with you. Anywhere. 2. You should have a pet around you. I prefer a cat, but any animal that is playful goes i think. Interspecies communication helps a bunch. 3. Try not to think "normal". What i mean by this is....cherish your difference, emphasize on it in a positive way. You are weird, you are different, you are not "normal". That doesn't have to be a bad thing, it's up to you. :) 4. NEVER force on things you do. NEVER do anything that wears all of your spiritual energy. Instead, find you call and cause.
@SimpleHappyZen5 жыл бұрын
Beautiful, couldn't agree more! 😊 I want to emphasize to only get a pet if you can care for it properly, and if possible adopt, don't shop ✌🌱 Thanks Sasha!

I love the analogy of treating your body like a baby. Many of my colleagues "suffer through" their needs. I will drink when I get thirsty, eat when I get hungry, take a break when I feel I'm losing focus and go home early if I'm getting too tired, because I know I won't be able to deliver quality work when I'm not feeling well. I even have a colleague who would suddenly run to the bathroom because she wanted to finish a certain task before going. Call me sensitive for taking care of myself, to me that other way of living just seems very uncomfortable! :')
@SimpleHappyZen6 жыл бұрын
Miralci Haha I loved your story. I have to admit I was like those people too, and I'm still like that if I allow myself. Luckily I learned to stop doing it and started taking care of myself 😊 It's just better in all aspects

I stay with family and I have discussed this with them. We now have an agreement that we do not go into any intense discussions about anything before 2 hours have passed after coming home from work. This has helped me greatly with dealing with what has happened during the day in solitude before engaging in family time for the evening.

I love that rule Ronel Van Tonder, it's easy to get into heavy discussions that don't really attribute anything when you're still in that work mode

I Completely agree with all of these! I spend a lot of time alone doing my own thing because I like it, but I have been forcing myself to go out more while the weather is good recently, then I have the perfect excuse to hibernate during the winter. I take headphones with me to use on public transport because then people think I’m listening to music so they don’t attempt to make small talk (which I’m no good at) and they help to shut out the noise. I need to learn to say no more and have finally told a friend that I really don’t like the coffee shop that she always insisted on going to, I was quite proud of myself because I was uncomfortable there all the time due to the noise level and the fact that there are no windows and the tables are too close together. I never watch the news or I lay awake at night worrying about people in war torn countries etc. Any major news items tend to filter through to me via other people anyway. I think my super power is enjoying my own company and feeling comfortable in my own skin. 😁

Hi Vera. I thought of myself as very sensitive but didn’t know there was an actual term for this. I am pleased to say I am already doing many of the tasks you mentioned. I need to 9 to 10 hours of sleep each night. If I don’t get it I will get physically sick within 3 days. I have alone time each day to unwind. I am minimizing, eliminating responsibilities I feel are too much and am continuing with my scrapbooking. The one thing that I do love are psychological horror movies. Not realistic horror if that makes sense. There are a wonderful escape for me. Thank you so much. Your channel is a positive part of my day

This was wonderful video, thanks. One habit I would suggest is to not compare yourselves with others. Especially in your careers. As a HSP, you may find over a course of decades that people with less intellect and talents have achieved more than you or surpassed you- sheerly because of their superior stamina and ability to outwork the competition. It's painful to watch when it happens. But, you have to learn to be happy for them and not to be bitter amd jealous. Otherwise, you will really suffer inside.

For me, it's quite hard to live and work in big cities. There are always people and places trying to sell more than we actually need. It also puts me under lots of pressure to commute in jam-packed trains. I was born and raised in Japan. In this country, people have to ne exposed to lots of noises and rushes all the time. That makes me think too much, which burns me out. To simplify life is a must-do here. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for sharing. I can relate very much. I love visiting Tokyo but it's also exhausting for me because of how busy it is. I can imagine it can be very tricky if you live there. I would recommend trying to make sure you have a safe and calm environment where you live (as much as you can control that) so you have a space to unwind and rest.
@Rocky-bi5dv5 жыл бұрын
@@SimpleHappyZen Thank you for the reply. I live 20-minute train ride from Tokyo. I was quite recently diagnosed as HSP by my psychotherapist. I have been suffering from depression hugely because of the lack of the fact that I am HSP; I have always had tough time saying no since I was little. Consequently, they have made me take on responsibilities that I can't actually do, which led me to think that I am inferior to others. Now, I am trying to accept who I am and my life as a whole. For me, it's hard to get a stable job. I need to ask for reasonable accommodations such as having a private desk space so no one looks at me while I'm doing my jobs. Also, I often overdo things. So I try to limit the number of tasks. The most important thing gor me now is try to be the way I am. I hope things will look up. Thanks again for thr feedback.

So beautifully you explained. I will definitely add this advice to my routine. I am a big admirer of natural remedies. I also got treated with amazingly effective herbal combinations and most important, diet management by Planet Ayurveda. I was a HSP patient before but things are good to me and 1 thing I have learned that one should always follow the mantra of a well-balanced diet for healthy living

Hi Ebony Brown! I'm not sure, I relate to both. In the 16 personalities test I believe I scored 51% extravert and 49% introvert. About my work, I talk about this in this q&a: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6mbhomrl7llhKc

My sister and I were born this way and we call it psychic ability, and pathetic, distress beacons, you name it.. if I can sense my mother is not doing well from a very long distance away, I pick it up that very second and I will message her and she will say that she was just going to message me.

So daydreaming help , huh? No wonder i naturally daydream so much, and dream at night . I guess my body already knows what to do and i just need to listen to it better.

I'm not convinced you are highly sensitive. I couldn't listen to much more than a minute of this, I found the music (barely) under your words so distracting. I'm on my patio with headphones and earplugs.

I'm sorry to "complain", I dislike the camera angle with two sides of that cabinet behind you. Can you Please straighten it to be a more flat, simple background? The tree is busy enough behind your head, the longer wall diagonal angle prevents me from enjoying your message, your HSP friend.
@SimpleHappyZen6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Heathers Home for your feedback. That's actually very valuable information that I can use to keep improving. I use 2 camera angles in this one and I'm not completely sure which one you mean, so could you help me with that and list a time in the video that bothers you? Just to be sure I know which one you're talking about. Thanks, have a beautiful day 🤗

Simple Happy Zen, the big cabinet off to your side had a dark shady side AND a lighter front side . Can you place the camera straighter in front of your body ?

Ah that way! I'll look into it ✌

Simple Happy Zen I thought of a way to tell you. Have your back parallel to the wall; as on this video, your back is to the side of that big cabinet.
