I started watching Dr. Ingham's youtube videos around 2017. I enrolled in her SFW school foundation course during the COVID pandemic and finish the program in February this year - 2023. In the spring on 2020 I purchased two varieties of apple trees to grow in my yard - a golden delicious apple tree and a northern spy apple tree. Almost immediately both trees were infected with leaf rust. I asked the vendor who I bought the trees from how I should treat my trees - they suggested I use a copper based fungicide?? I passed on their suggestion and waited until I could produce my own compost tea/extract. On March 5th this year I started my compost pile 21 days later the pile was ready to begin making a tea. I sprayed my trees completely with the tea and crossed my fingers. The leaf rust never returned! If only the tea or the extract worked to repel deer...my trees would be doing very well. :( I installed an electric fence for Babi and company! Problem solved. Thanks Dr. Elaine!

Love Elaine ❤ My grandson and I gathered a small batch of compost ingredients together with the chicken droppings for the high nitrogen, at Gramma's house last Christmas. I went out in March 2023 and made enough extract from it (after mixing oxygen back in it!) and sprayed the plum tree and the cherry tree and the whole garden and the raspberries too. I went out again in June/23 and for the first time the trees and garden were doing really well. She was happy with the harvest considering that the last years gone by, usually everything doesn't grow or is diseased. ❤ Also did my neighbor's yard where the cinch bugs ate everything green all through the streets. The area I treated with extract and soil is super grass now as well as all the area's in my yard where I redid from the swimming pool crush and the dead areas under piles of tarped compost. Half way through the microscope training and hope to be a consultant and build composts across the country! 😅

What a wonderful interview! I love Elaine and what she's doing for the world! We are regenerative farmers in Alberta. Compost isn't in our wheelhouse yet, maybe I'll get to practice that in the new yard site we're setting up this year. Our farm is mostly based on cover cropping. We gave the big farmhouse to the next generation and moved into a little house on our original yard site a few miles away. We're trying to rejuvenate the yard after years of renters and basically being ignored.
