I have wanted one of these for a while now, I just couldn't take it anymore, had to pull the trigger (see what I did there) I recently acquired a Ruger American Ranch rifle, chambered in 300blackout. In combination with a suppressor this is going to be a fun, quiet little rifle! I have long been a fan of the 300 blackout cartridge.
In this video, we cycle through Supersonic and subsonic ammunition alternatively to hear the difference between these two variants of this versatile chambering. A quick video. I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Of all the bushcraft/camping vids I watch I have found yours to have the most in common in how we operate out there. I could hang with you guys without hesitation! Dude fantastic Kabanger. I’m sending this to a friend. He’s good with this stuff. He told me about subsonic and .22 cal sound like a pellet gun with a suppressor. What difference in the rounds, cool demonstration.

Rugers are awesome, and priced right. That bolt will wear in. After this video I cleaned off all that thick factory grease, that made a huge difference

@@ItsGoodintheWoodsI would switch to .300blk specific mags. The stock mag that Ruger includes HATES sub ammo. Lots of binding issues. Using the Lancer 300blk mags and it's been perfect. If only I could buy the Gen II stock

I had yet to clean the factory grease off the rifle and oil it up when I made this video. After the video I cleaned her up. Last Tuesday I went out to the lean to with my buddy Dave, we did a lot of shooting.THe gun performed much much better after the cleaning. The 300 specific mags are a pretty good idea though. I may have to pick a few up. The standard 5.56 mags have worked very well in my Sig MCX 300 blackout. Because of that, the 300 specific mags never really crossed my mind. Thanks for the suggestion. For me, the trick is sighting in with the ammo used to hunt. If you change ammo, the sights will be off some. As long as you know your hold.

I zero at 100 yards with the supersonics. When I do that with this particular optic, the bottom of the chevron is the point of impact for the subs. It works great. I have had this optic on my Sig MCX for 7 years. I am very familiar with it.
