Back in 2022, I honeymooned in Jamaica with rechargeable KS10 BTEs for a severe hearing loss. But forgot the charger. 🤦‍♂ Nothing for sale on the island, of course. But here's the catch. No online seller would ship expedited overseas! Not Costco, not Phonak, Not Amazon, not even eBay. 🤷‍♂ In the words of the Ancient Mariner... Water, water everywhere (chargers online). Nor any drop to drink (in Jamaica)! 🏝

Hi Emily have a great holiday,I loved the TV series set in Hawaii,magnum & Hawaii 5 0 something I would add are spare tubing! If the tube gets damaged & your not near a town your gonna be hearing aid less,also if you have spare hearing aids if your normal ones packed up that could help you!! Covid cases in the UK have risen so much in the past 7 days & some parts are in lockdown! Halloween looks to have been cancelled & guy Fawkes fireworks on Nov 5th! You grab your holiday while you can as it sounds like your real hard working people! Especially here on you tube! Thank you for sharing your tips with us 😊😊

Extra tubing is an excellent item to add to the travel kit! I didn't think of that because I don't have extra tubing. Thank you for bringing that up! I hope you stay safe despite the additional lockdowns!

You are going to have a great time!! No, I haven’t been there. Hopefully some day. I don’t like traveling by myself because I can’t hear and the PA system is so hard to understand. I like a travel partner who is my ears I feel safer and confident that we won’t miss hearing anything. What’s the name of the translator that you use? I want to use that while I’m in the hospital. Especially when my family can’t be with me like getting dressed for surgery before they didn’t wear mask there but now they do. 🤨 oh wait what do I do with my cell....oh wait again no hearing aids. 😩 ok sign language oh wait they don’t know it. I hope that they all wear the clear face shield. It’s going to be a fun day with all these challenges. I’m sure they have experience with this all before me. Take a deep breath... Enjoy your trip!! I’m jealous!!

Thank you! Ah, that makes sense. I am certainly more at ease when Joel is around when I travel, I also pay less attention to where I am going when he is around - I explore more! App wise, it is called Otter.ai. You can get 600 free minutes per month which is all I need! I really hope your surgery goes well. I'm sure it will. I'm so happy it will be able to happen.
