Darul A’shom is one of the few religious boarding schools for the hearing-impaired in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country. Opened in 2019, the school enables students in Yogyakarta to memorise and study the Koran in sign language, at a time when hearing-impaired children are marginalised from public schools. Children also study sharia, mathematics, science and foreign languages to enable them to pursue higher education.

Maybe you can search their school on google map and find their telephone number/email there. People in Indonesia mostly use WhatsApp application for chatting so I suppose phone credits shouldn't be a problem here.

In Indonesia mostly are the rich who can taste an education especially if you have disabilities. I've been like more than 3 years encounter with a man with eye disabilities because his school is near my school, and we always share the same bus to go to school over 30Km. I don't remember I had any communication with him, but boy... he is the hardworking man ever. I wish I can do more.

This is incredible, specially because they do not deny education for the older, they teach regardless of age and finantial condition. It's important that everyone has access to education and this school makes sure that even disabled people have access, even though the government and society deny us our rights every day, everywhere in the globe. I hope the school continues to work for as long as society exists!!
