Imo i think dandy might be a hoarder or the tapes have some sort of personal connection to him maybe with all the toons slowly leaving/getting distant him with the tapes being the only thing staying with him (kinda like Four from bfb being rlly overprotective of X since hes been his friend since childhood never leaving him ect ect) plus like the comments in the vid the tapes might actually have times when he and his friends were actually enjoying life ig (BUT THATS JUST A THEORY A GAME THEORY-)

They make him stronger, and stronger. When you don’t buy he goes alpha (twisted mode) and he uses previous tapes to do so. He gives us items to play it off.

Dandy wants the tapes because it contains somekind of essence that dandy wants, hence why he gets mad when you don't give any of the tapes to him. So he does it by being a merchant. But tapes also could have something that dandy wants, because its strange how teagan and sprout can use it to heal themselves/others, meaning tapes could contain something to heal someone. This might mean dandy is either healing his mental or something (idk why he requires so many) or simply is just giving it to some sort of orginasation that requires them for some kind of research.

I lowkey think that dandy would love tapes is because of the recordings of the ichor operation he did so that’s why he loves tapes because of fear someone will figure it all because of tapes and another thing about tapes he uses them for transformation because of what people said tapes have special symbols of power in different kinds of ways and he uses the ones on his body and the remaining tapes around the map to turn back into a toon
