Lyrics: I hear the ticking of the clock I'm lying here the room's pitch dark I wonder where you are tonight No answer on the telephone And the night goes by so very slow Oh, I hope that it won't end though Alone [Chorus] 'Till now I always got by on my own I never really cared until I met you And now it chills me to the bone How do I get you alone? How do I get you alone? [Verse 2] You don't know how long I have wanted To touch your lips and hold you tight, oh You don't know how long I have waited And I was gonna tell you tonight But the secret is still my own And my love for you is still unknown Alone [Chorus] 'Till now I always got by on my own I never really cared until I met you And now it chills me to the bone How do I get you alone? How do I get you alone? [Guitar Solo] [Outro] How do I get you alone? How do I get you alone? Alone, alone

I was born late 80's and the 80's and 90's were the best generation of rock singers. Made me a rocker together with my wife. We still dress up as rockers although we are in our 40's right now (we stay as fit as possible and keep our hair long as much as possible). They call us the rocking lovers during family gatherings lol.

Ann Wilson has one of the greatest rock and roll voices. There is a reason most female vocalists won't even attempt to sing Heart songs. Such tender sweetness until her voice soars into the chorus and rips the roof off. She's got an overdrive vocal gear very few singers can touch. Stand back because Ms. Wilson is in the house.

MariNate Nuclear war was a real possibility. I was a kid and it was present enough that I was scared of it, even though I wasn't in the US. There were just soooo many many nukes on both sides that it would have been the end of everything. I remember the end of the Cold War in 1989-1991 and the relief that it just wasn't likely to happen anymore.

My first crush was this guy I met in high school. He was really popular and always surrounded by his friends so it made it impossible to talk to him. We only ever talked at least a handful of times in over a year but we had a strong chemistry. I remember listening to this song all the time just wishing his friends wouldn't be there to treat me like crap and I could talk to him. There was a graduation party about 4 years after I met him and I dressed up for a bonfire they had outside. I remember telling my parents just to give me 5 more minutes before we had to go and I found him by himself standing by the corn field next to the bonfire and it was dark. His friends already left. I told him everything and since then we've been together for years.

Jackie e Am I weird still like Partridge Family songs. We had it made in 70s80s in Buffalo,NY 10 years of concerts 4 every summer at Bills Stadium. They had all the big time bands Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, Alice Cooper. I gave Mick Jagger a nickname ( A Rooster on Acid ) cause of his energy on stage Some concerts got out of hand because lack of security, how do control 80,000 fans. Even Bills games were crazy in 80s. It sucks we have that reputation for most snow in winter. I agree we get 10-12 feet from Lake Erie most winters. Buffalo is known as a drinking city. It is truly a shame that Ann had to be made to feel bad about herself during this era. She was stunning...

John Barnes Back then heavy women, or what the record companies considered to be heavy, were not usually shown in a full body shot. In the rare occasion that big female singers were shown from head to toe in a video, the director would come up with different ways to make them not look so big (ex: a brief full body shot; all black clothing and covered head to toe; placing objects in front of them to block part of their bodies...). Back then, super model skinny was all that the industry wanted women to be. Wilson Philips also had this problem. One of the members said it. Sad because this song rocks!!

Cardiackid Jones Janis Joplin and Grace Slick likely blazed the trail for the Wilson sisters. Ann's voice is nothing short of iconic.

I agree that the Wilson’s are ridiculously talented. I was a teen in the midst of the 80’s hair metal scene, and my dad was a musician. The market was so saturated with so-so artists, some of the great ones didn’t get their due. If you haven’t seen Heart cover Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center, your missing out. Incredible
