My dear Dad went through dementia along with a host of other issues. We were lucky that though he lost his words and memories, he didn’t lose his sweetness or knowing his girls. Have been missing him for 5 years. I’m sorry for your struggles, moving and helping is stressful for all. Thanks for the cheery art and words.

What a beautiful and symbolic piece of art. I lost my mom in April, she had dementia and didn’t know who I was for about a year. Every once in a while she would remember and ask about me. I was 3,000 miles away and not doing well myself. So I did not make it back in time to say goodbye. I think your move will be so very important for you and her. She needs the consistent connections of her loved ones. (Luckily, my mom had my sister there.) Being so close to her almost daily will help her mental health considerably. And in return, yours.
