Thank you so much Dr. Berry! I started watching your videos four years ago and with your help, I reversed my pre-diabetes and lost 35 lbs. I now weigh what I did when I graduated from high school. My blood pressure went from the stratosphere to - this morning - 115/65. My family life has improved. The list of positive changes in my life goes on and on. The one thing that I have failed at is retirement. I’ve gone back to work and LOVE IT. I never LOVED work but I do now. I’m a marine surveyor of cargo ships and oil tankers. These are huge vessels, some upwards of 4 football fields long. As a surveyor, I inspect these ships from end to end and top to bottom. One has to be in good shape to do this job and I’m thriving at it. Again, thank you Dr. Berry. Your advice about keto and carnivore diets has helped me and my family immensely.

INCREDIBLE. Dr. Berry is angel saving thousands of lives. Started the Proper human diet April 9th. Went from a size 12 to a size 6 in a span of several months. Carb withdrawl flu is a real thing, felt weak for 3 weeks as the weight came off. Now have energy levels thru the roof. Best score possible for C peptide test at 0. Thats after eating meat with the fat everyday. Doctor frantically wanted to put me on statins. He seemed angry when my bloodwork came back after eating this new way, and curtly told me i dont need to be on statins now. Trying to help my family members who have type 2 diabetes and just keep praying to G-d for their health. They are non-compliant. All i can do is live my life as a role model. I owe everything to the Berry Family, Who i feel that G-d Almighty has gifted all of us with. Incredible, life changing, life prolonging advice for anyone who is open to having a new life.

Lost 23 lbs, higher energy, better cyclist, eye floaters gone, memory better, urine stream improving, sleeping better, less plaque on my teeth, hair loss has stopped, grocery bills lower, almost no flatulence, pooping less and better, sinus blockage at night gone, stopped snoring but my family and friends think I am crazy to not eat processed foods, sugar, and carbs! I use LMNT daily to eliminate cramps. I gave my doctor a copy of Dr. Lufkin’s book because he wanted to put me on statins for cholesterol 😂! My dad is 94.5 yrs old and going strong. He only visits the Dr to get his prescription for his slow heart rate and that's because it's cheaper to see the Dr than ring up for a prescription. He hardly ever has any blood work done. He once went to hospital a few years ago after a fall down the stairs because he was carrying a chair, and they couldn't find any records of him because he had never been before. Still using the stairs many times a day and that's what keeps him fit.

Guy I work with is about 52 years old. Not over weight, maybe slightly. Type 2 diabetic for years taking like 4 pills a day. After seeing a few videos on KZbin about the carnivore diet, he decided to give it a try 4 months ago despite opinions from his Doctor and his wife. After just 3 weeks, he lost 19 lbs and was completely off his meds as his sugar levels were perfectly normal now. He went back to the doctor last week for a physical with complete blood work results after 4 months on the carnivore diet. He told the Doctor he was doing the carnivore diet. The Doctor simply told him "whatever you are doing, keep doing it because your blood work is excellent".

@@08turboSS I didn't believe it either, until I tried it. But I found out it really does happen that fast for a lot of people as they begin keto diets. That rate of weight loss usually slows down a bit after the initial loss of inflammation. But I believe this 52 year old really lost 19 pounds in 3 weeks. I've seen a lot of people in Dr. Berry's PHD community do that. And he's probably also lost a significant number of inches from his waist and lost a noticeable amount of puffiness in his face, and if he had joint pain, I bet it's either gone or greatly reduced. Carnivore pushes the carbs so low, people often experience greatly reduced need for insulin, and often other medications as well. Extremely low carb, with moderate to high fat and protein really works, and it works fast!

I so wish that we had had this information before my dear sister died of a heart attack at age 53. It ripped our hearts to shreds. She was morbidly obese, hypertensive, had high cholesterol, on all the medications and was convinced she was type 2 diabetic although had never been checked. She had an EF of 35 and LBBB indicating she already had a heart episode before the big one that took her suddenly one night after dinner. She had no cardiologist, her doctor didn’t think it was necessary and told her that her heart condition was no big deal! Yep. You read that right. She was a middle school teacher who was adored by her students. It was horrible seeing all those little 11 year old children, coming through the wake staring at her body in total shock. Our mom almost died from a broken heart. This is real life and death Dr Berry is talking about here. I’m so grateful for this info now… hopefully it will keep my mom from experiencing losing another daughter… me… because even as a vegan… I too was headed down the exact same path. Thank you. 7 weeks carnivore today. Down 29 pounds (82 to go), waist has gone from a 46 to a 37 and I have dropped 2 HBP medications. My daughter is doing it with me. She’s dropped 8 pounds in 2 weeks and her carb addiction. Her personality is becoming more chill and her last period was so much less painful. I’ve had a very rocky transition and have lots of auto immune issues to heal and lost my gallbladder a few years ago, but I’m glad to finally have a sustainable and effective plan for my health because I was getting NO answers from the medical professionals.

It makes hubby and me laugh when we consider that, between the two of us, the pounds we lost add up to an adult human! Been on keto for almost five years and it is very much sustainable! My blood pressure had always ran low so I had never worried about it but in February my sister went to the hospital ER because her BP went up to 200+/99. They did an IV push to bring it down and it only came down 15 points and they sent her home. She nagged me to check mine and when I did it was 179/102!! LOL She went on medication, and I jumped on Keto transitioning to Carnivore and adding appropriate supplements. By mid-April I had passed her up like she was standing still. Her BP was running in the 160"s and mine was down around 130/85. She dumped the meds and started walking and going Keto! She is now running in the low 130's to the high 120's over whatever. Mine is now 120/79!! Keto/Carnivore for the win!! When she was taking the BP meds, I was trying to encourage her to start walking but she said that the medication made her utterly lethargic. Funny how the medication has a side effect of lethargy and yet they tell you that the best thing for lowering BP is walking and movement. Seems almost as if they want you to stay on the medication for life!! HUMMMM

Thank you Dr Berry! Wow, what a chart! About 18 months ago I had a hypertensive crisis and was taken to a Cardiologist here in Germany by a coworker who found me “out-of-sorts” in my office. My BP was north of 200/125. Blood test results showed my glucose north of 400 and a Hb1c of 16+. The only way to force my BP down was a cocktail of 3 BP meds. Even then it was still over 125/90. I researched how to reduce BP and did the typical things like reducing salt intake, etc. However, I also ran across your vids and others about a ketogenic diet. Within 4 months I was off ALL of the BP meds and it now stays around 90/60. I also have lost over 145 pounds and my glucose is usually below 75 and my HbA1c has been 4.6-4.8. I could not be more thankful for your videos! Last week I started the “ketovore/carnivore” food plan and I only had a couple of tough days because of the carb craving, but the last two days I cannot believe the natural energy that has suddenly hit me. Brain fog, sluggishness/feeling extremely tired at midday, simply not being able to focus, just blah all the time went away. Unfortunately, I have the top three on your chart and this girl is buckling down big-time. I’m very committed to this. Finally, something that just makes sense! The fact that I feel this good after just a week, is my body telling me this is right. My goal is to get off my cholesterol and blood pressure meds. And of course, I will consult with my cardiologist, but I do kind of believe that a lot of doctors are basically big Pharma employees/pill pushers. I’m glad I stopped taking my statin five months ago. People need to understand that often the side effects create more health problems than actually being on that medication. thank you so much for all of your incredible information. And oh my gosh… I am enjoying steak every other day, and like never before. I was a flexitarian before by the way. Ate a lot of plant-based foods but cut way back on them. This is the beginning of my journey and I’m just one week in. I hope my future comments will be that I’ve had amazing results in every aspect of my health and life. Thank you! *It is not crazy to think that being on this type of food plan is actually good for you! 🎉

I've went from 191 Pnd to 161 pnd from november 2023 to april 2024 at the age of 49. The brain fog is gone and I have the energy to train now. My trick is very simple: No bread, no pasta, no sugury treats gets in my shopping cart in the first place. Always have a big bowl of chef salad ready so that I can fill half of my plate with it at every meal. The other half is a baked protein. If I want a treat on the week-end I have to get in my car and go to the restaurent. For the training I've began with an easy but steady workout by walking one hour per day five or six times per week. Then I've intruduced one 30 sec jogging interval after two weeks then two, three.... twelve. When the snow began to melt (in Canada) I began to do bodyweight circuit training in a parc. Now that I'm riting those lines, my hart rate monitor is telling me that during the night my hart rate went all the way down to 44 BPM... At 49 years old. Oh Yah, my old injuries inflamation pain is also gone and I can do 80 push ups in a day.

Exactly 1 year into keto and intermittent fasting to tackle obesity (24 stone on a 5ft 8” frame), diabetes (HbA1c of 63) and high blood pressure (170/100). I have lost 10st 5lb, reversed diabetes (HbA1c down to 39 after 9 months) and BP (now 125/75), reduced my waist by 20 inches and taken BMI down by 20 points. All this without any hunger or cravings due to being in ketosis most of the time after following advice from you Robert Cywes, Ben Bikman, Anthony Jay, Paul Mason, Eric Berg, and others - the evidence for this I found to be compelling and I am now living proof. When my UK NHS diabetes nurse saw me a few months ago she told me I could come off of Metformin and Lisinopril but I must stay on the statins to keep cholesterol down. Having researched statins in depth, I did the opposite and ditched the statins but elected to stay on the other meds for just a few more months until I reach my target weight. She was vehement in her defence of statins and I remain surprised talking to other clinicians at how wedded to them they are and that they are basing their judgements on now disproven science that demonises good cholesterol. In the two months I have been statin free, my energy levels have gone up and random aches and pains appear to have disappeared. I appreciate this doesn't prove the harms that statins might have been doing to me as I have lost more weight during that time, and joined a gym 1 month ago. However I am trying to use my health journey as an example to others as to how easy I found it to take control back of my health and, at 56 years of age, now feel that I have every chance of a positive and long future ahead of me.

Wow, well done. Now our eyes are open we can see that the system doesn't fix us more often than it does. The knock on effect of your weight was having a massive effect on your body; your heart, lungs, joints etc would all have been damaged more and more over the years. The so called health system just gave you medication to control or mask the symptoms. YOU are the one who is curing yourself (obviously with thanks to these wonderful doctors on KZbin). Wishing you continued success.

Great video. I came to carnivore because of joint pain but I'm staying because of metabolic syndrome. When I saw that my triglycerides were 190 I knew I had to develop a way of eating that would be my primary habit for life. I wasn't very far into metabolic syndrome but was overweight and trying to do the plant based fiber type diet but getting nothing out of it but pain and digestive problems. My cholesterol has slowly crept up from 190 to 220 to 240. I'm aiming for a total cholesterol of 260 for it's protective qualities as I get older. I asked my partner to join me in this quest for better health and he agreed. We are both thrilled with our labs and our weight loss. My triglycerides went down to 76 in 4 months on this diet. My partner has lost almost 50lbs. I have lost 40. We are preparing for our retirement and older age. The carnivore diet is a touchstone of health. We will live this way with few exceptions. If we go off the diet we will go right back on after whatever treat we couldn't resist. I feel so good about this. Knowing that this diet works every time.

I saw my first cardiologist last week and he was disinterested in any of the risk factors above. He just wanted to put me on a statin based on my increased total cholesterol and LDL. If you have any colleagues in the Tulsa, OK area, I've love to find a primary care doctor and cardiologist who are looking deeper into the true causes of CVD.

I took them for six months because they had to do a surgery on me. and told me if I didn't take them that he would not do the procedure. I should've had red flags right then he was a cocky little man who had an agenda looking at hindsight. But I quit taking them. Didn't tell them and I got to feeling better and better and better, they didn't like me as a patient due to not listening to their instructions but I think I'm doing right now and at that time I was not on carnivore I was coming to the end of my decision! thank God I've been on carnivore for 18 months and I'm better than ever seriously although I have struggle because of having low insulin resistance. But my kidneys are healed no kidney failure, no dialysis, no fibromyalgia pain. I had so many things against me but step-by-step step-by-step you'll get stronger and stronger. My half competent GP actually diagnosed me but told me to eat a high carb low fat diet. As they do. I took advice from patients and doctors on the internet - in those days newsgroups, forums and blogs - she was horrified at my "dangerous" low carb diet but after ten years admitted "By now we would have expected you to be on two or three diabetes medications". She left, followed by most of the other GPs, and now I have nothing to do with them. I heard of a low-carb-friendly doctor in a nearby village but I'm out of her area.

Dr. Berry I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I reversed in roughly 6 months. I am 5' 10" and was 360lbs. I lost 80lbs , dropped from @44-46 waist to a 38 waist and 1 shirt size.and didn't take the Metforman. I dropped my cholesterol nearly 40 points (was not high by the way). I started holding a strict intermittent fast (at least 16 hrs, did some 24-48hrs to challenge myself) I learned as you progress with the length of time, you tend to better regulation of hunger) and when it was time to eat eat heavy foods and to the point of contentness. I stopped consuming starchy foods (potatoes, bread, pasta, tortilla stopped using everything to cook with accept butter, bacon grease, talo, avocado oil. Minimized my dairy intake to portion sized servings, no processed cheese and no low fat anything. (all the fats, red label, whole milk) started eating more eggs combined with keto type veggies. Eating More meat proteins. (My favorite is yellow squash and zucchini squash with eggs and bacon (crispy crumbled). Started drinking alot more water. Using apple cider vinegar, black coffee & cinnamon tea (also helps lower blood sugar Spikes and other bennifits, & when in a s t long enough concentration has a sweet taste naturally hot or cold) to curb my fast in the mornings. And starting using pickle juice in moderation to supplement electrolytes. I have a testimony for the world. Keto more and carnivore really work. Fasting works. Not eating 3-5 meals a day works. There's so much junk food available to us theese days we are seasoned to eat 3 meals a day and snack in between. It's ok to get past and feel hunger. It makes you appreciate your next meal more. And it's biblical pray when your hungry, pray for that next meal. Some people in this world they pray for it and it's still not so easy to come by. GOD BLESS TO ALL WHO HAVE TOOK THE TIME READ MY SHORT EXPLANATION. I JUST WANT TO SAY START SMALL MAKING CHANGES AND CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO PUSH MIRE AND CUT OUT AND GO LONGER WITHOUT. AND THERE ARE AMAZING BENNIFITS.THERE ARE AWESOME ALTERNATIVES OUT THERE TO TRY. JUST REMEMBER START LABEL READING. ITS ALL IN THE INGREDIENTS. ANYMORE ALL I LOOK AT IS CARBS, SUGAR, FIBER, TRANS FA, ( I DONT WORRY TO MUCH BOUT CALORIES) The food industries are killing us ya'll. If you have children get them on a healthier path as well it with reflect in the years to come I promise.

Dr Berry I really enjoy listening to your sound advice. I am an RN of 20 years and a licensed massage therapist for the past 3 years and I use to think if I ate fat it would make me fat. My eyes began to open since C19 in 2020. So much so that I left my nursing position and went back to school to become a massage therapist. My husband has DM2, HTN, he also has an aneurysm that is being monitored and it is stable at this time. We’ve adopted the pHD and not that I have had severe weight issues but I did lose 20 lbs effortlessly and I’m currently back down to nearly my high school weight. My husband used to be over 215 lbs at 5’10” now his weight fluctuates between 178-180. His A1C has never been above 7. I’m trying to get him to stop all sugar but we’ve come to a comprise. He now is using local raw honey in his coffee as well as Redmonds Real Salt and grass fed butter. We’ve notice that his back pain has been very well managed but massage is probably helping with that as well. I know we probably can’t do anything about the aneurysm other than trying to get his HTN under control but I would be so happy if he could reverse his DM2. It would be amazing if we could get him off the Metformin, Glipizide, & Lisinopril. Thank you for all you do it is very much appreciated.

Dr. Berry, I just watched this after coming in from a three mile walk. I wanted to share my results so far. In the beginning, I started all of this because I was over weight with high blood pressure and a calcium score in my Coronary artery with with a 3 mm nodule in my lower left lung. Meanwhile, last summer I discovered at 61 that I in-fact have ADHD and possibly autism. I've been able to ween down to 1/2 a 2 mg Clonazepam a day. I completely quit taking the seizure meds that I was on for 39 years along with reducing the Benzo. Sorry, ok back to this. So I began to research intensely like a good hyper-focused ADHD person...lol...well , I learned about intermittent fasting and fasting to the point of autophagy along with the knowledge that I am picking up from you and Neisha and a few more people online. So, I have lost all body fat, my waist is back to 32 " from 36" back to 32 " x 34 " where my original adult pants size began before beer and carbs...I quit drinking 14 years ago. began. I no longer have high blood pressure or metabolic syndrome. Also, the nodule could not be seen in an x-ray but, I know I may need a CT scan again or something to see it? I am not sure.Regardless, I feel better than I have in decades and guess what. I can run again. I chased my pup down a few times when he was trying to run down the road to see a dog in heat..lol..without hurting my lower back...at all. This is amazing. So, I had heart disease when I started this journey with a calcium score of 186 recently ( I'm trying to reverse this now... in my Coronary artery. Yeah, it's a little bit unnerving but, this graph really made me feel better. Thank you for everything that you and Neisha do to help the world. God bless and watch over you and your beautiful family. Eating strictly beef, butter, bacon ,eggs, pork skins fried in pork fat for snacking or Sardines, canned Salmon or Trout etc...I am trying to eat healthy. I also use Turmeric, NattoKinase , Cayenne Pepper, Niacin, baby aspirins, Vitamin D , vitamin K2, Magnesium, Omega 3 .. that is about it. I am going to fast a few more times before my next test in August then in September. I just pray that I live long enough to enjoy this version of myself and to find happiness again. So far, this makes a HUGE difference. I will see you next time, I also take Omega 3. I left it off earlier, so I added it.

I was lucky not to suffer any side effects or harms from statins. I stopped taking them because I didn't see the point. Here's a thing, my thyroid blew up and took out the arteries in my legs. It also dropped my LDL through the floor, which is supposed to be impossible because "everyone knows" cholesterol is the only cause of blocked arteries. An elderly and long retired consultant said that back in the day, before high carb low fat diets, when they saw high cholesterol they would assume low thyroid and run a TSH. I now know this goes the other way too. Fortunately I saw a clueful consultant who told me to walk through the pain and regenerate circulation around the blockages which seems to have worked.

Both my husband and I began keto diet 10 days ago, surprisingly we have found it way easier than imagined, especially since my husband particularly loves breads, cereals, potatoes, pasta, rice, cake and cookies. We cut out seed oils, no more margarine, using only butter and olive oil. No sugar or processed foods. We eat meat, eggs, little bit of milk/cheese, fruits and veggies. We are not missing these carbs at all and feel full after small meals, which lasts hours between to point we have to remind ourselves we missed a meal, or its hours past dinnertime, maybe we should eat. Within 6 days, already our clothes feel looser and my husband lost 5 lbs within those first 6 days! We have waaaay less gassy/intestinal issues, and feel more energy and less allergies for me, (I think I had become gluten intolerant). My husband feels like he is more alert as well and thinking clearer. We are on our second week and it doesn't feel like we're deprived or like it's an effort to eat this way at all, and so we look forward to continuing. 😊

Thank you so much Dr. Berry. You continue to educate me more and more each day. I am 70 years old and had a heart attack 4.5 years ago. I was shocked when it happened and have spent the last 4.5 years studying why I had a heart attack and more importantly what I need to do differently. My cardiologist only says take a statin and eat a Mediterranean diet. Thanks it. So thanks for all you do to educate the masses so we can live healthier lives. God bless you

I was very hypoglycemic at one time in my life. My doctor then said "You will definitely be a diabetic as you get older. " I stayed on a low carb diet for the rest of my life and so far no diabetes. I'm in my 80's. However life changed and I have used more sugar and chocolate to keep going. Am paying for that now so it's carnivore from here on out.

My doctor continues to insist that I get my cholesterol tested. We had it out and she sill tried to trick me into having the test by adding it to a list of tests. Before I let them draw the blood I told them to pull the cholesterol test. Everytime I go now I request they tell me what they are testing and pull any tests I have not approved. I told her I no longer believe that cholesterol means much at all to almost any health condition and I didn't want it tested any longer because doctors just couldn't stop obsessing over my high cholesterol.

I went to my Doctor because I was feeling really poorly, struggled after the simplest of exercises and thought I was a walking heart attack waiting to happen. I've been ketogenic (leaning towards ketovore) just over 2 months now - all cholesterol markers are now in the recommended ranges, dropped Triglycerides in half, dropped LDL, dropped total cholesterol. I've lost 14 lbs so far and my glucose levels have been dropping from a crazy high 17 mmol/L to the 6-8 mmol/L range. Still a ways to go but I'm looking forward to my 100 day A1c checkup test and then my 200 day checkup. BP has also dropped significantly. Yes, the low dose prescribed drugs have "kickstarted" me into a healthier diet but eventually I hope to eliminate them by Christmas and meet my intermediate and then long term health goals.

Thanks Doc for clearing up a much maligned truth. I always suspected that my VA Doc was wrong concerning LDL and statins. God bless you and yours and please keep up the great work! From East Tennessee

*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*

Glad I found you. 57 year old female. My LDL continues to keep climbing on Keto and I'm concerned. I eat clean, healthy fats, no sugar. Work out 4 days a week. Current: LDL 219, HDL 81 normal, Triglycerides 46 normal, HDL ratio 3.9 normal, Non HDL 234 high: total cholesterol super high 315 yikes!! Did a CT Cardiogram came up as Zero. Blood pressure normal 114/70. A1C Normal. Thyroid Normal. I've lost 20 pounds fasting 20:4, in 5 months on Keto, I feel great, but my cholesterol paints a very different story with my doctor who is freaking me out wanting to put me on statins. I'm convinced that Statins caused my mother's cancer which I have refused to take.
