Technically speaking, I can choose to sing these notes “clean” or with the “rasp”. But I don’t think about that when I perform, I go into a different mode where I let the emotion and commitment guide my artistic choices. So I guess it kind of chooses itself 😉

Hey Gabe! While I have been thoroughly trained in the traditional approach to singing through "Vocal Registers".. I have found that, while it was better than nothing, it really was more confusing that it was helpful in the long run. I'll make a video on this soon to explain it deeper, but for now I'll just say that I that note was not me trying to "mix" or use any other traditional vocal register. A true high tenor contralto speak in the baritone range but don't have a true baritone color because the head voice is extremely dominant. In modern miusic you're true vocal type doesn't matter. Too much tension

Horrible technique. If you used dynamics you would be a tenor so instead you don't fall into any category. Learn to use dynamics and you will see the ease and tonal uniformity you will achieve in the sound

@@swaghilash The technique is horrible because it requires too much force to sustain the sounds. the sound is very forced and does not sound homogenous especially in the central and lower part of the range. so over time you ruin your vocal chords.
