Heart-Breaking Sounds Come Out Of ABBEY ROAD ONE !! In-depth Video by Stephan Oberhoff

When I saw the demo video by the great orchestrator Paul Thompson, I was immediately convinced and was ready to buy it - just hearing the demo of the string sections and the brass sounds.
My initial download failed because the .AAX plugin was not recognized by ProTools in Mojave, but Spitfire's support team responded within hours of my letting them know - which is amazing, considering that they are in a time zone eight hours ahead of West Coast time.
I installed the replacement plug-in and was immediately off and running. As is my habit, I assigned the luxurious vibrato control AS WELL as the dynamic layer control to my foot pedal (CC11) - and I was ready to shed tears off the bat!
SOOO beautiful, well balanced and a hyper-realistic room sound the Spitfire team captured - which is now at my fingertips.
Brass, Percussion and Mix patches are of equal quality and the emotional expression that begins to flow out of one's hands with this library is unparalleled.

That being said, there are 2 drawbacks: the smaller one being that there is no velocity dynamic response to the patches - which for my keyboard based work I desperately need.

The larger one is that, with my 2 yr old iMac Pro with 64 gigs of RAM I could not play large polyphonic chords at a buffer setting of 256 in ProTools ultimate without the app totally shutting down my audio bus, inside and outside Protools when choosing more than 2 of the microphone mixes (Closeup + Decca Tree + Spill mics).
The app seems to need to be streamlined as this never happens with the lean machine that Kontakt always was - and still is.

Ive never thought about controlling both expression and vibrato from the one control!

I do this with logic, using the modifier. Only difference is I have the vibrato at a higher percentage ratio so it hits full while the expression is around 75%

Just an addition for potential buyers: this library has NO legato patches (the addons do though)

probably will end up adding them in special packs. I didn't buy it as I can achieve most of what this can do with BBCSO core, and a few additional patches

Just please note that these performance files are restricted to prevent from people using them as their own performance or composition - but you can freely study and sample from them!
