I always thought that the “gemstone” shape would make a perfect heart and was wondering how to make it with the 60-degree diamond rulers. Now I know! Thank you for another wonderful tutorial.
@kristamoser3 жыл бұрын
It is such a great shape! I've been playing around with it on a couple other projects lately :)

So sweet! My mind went right to pastel strip sets made in the colors of "conversation hearts." Someone who's good with script in FMQ could quilt sentiments onto the hearts. Looking forward to the next installment!

I LOVE that idea Shawnalee!! That would be so dang cute! Next weeks scrap project will be a pic tutorial on the blog, so look for it there, it'll be out Sunday morning.

I love the pattern. Can I use the larger diamond 60 ruler with this? Would you you how to use it please. ?
@kristamoser3 жыл бұрын
You sure can Carole! I probably will not do another video showing how that one could be used, but you have all the right lines and it is pretty much the same as the mini with a bit more ruler than you'll need. If you get stuck, email me and I'll try and get some pics of how it works with the large ruler.

With the larger ruler, I wonder if I have to make larger strips and therefore the quilt ends up bigger??
@kristamoser3 жыл бұрын
You don't! You can make all the same cuts with the larger ruler, you have the right lines, you'll just have more ruler hanging over the edges of the fabric when cutting.

Hi Krista-I have question about City Girl Chevron. Can you tell me who designer and what line of fabrics you used in the gray quilt? I’m sure that those fabrics are no longer available, but sometimes designers repeat fabrics in subsequent lines. Sorry I am asking here. Thanks.

Magically, the ruler fits exactly the width of the "random" stripset.
@kristamoser3 жыл бұрын
Haha! it's not magic, just math ;) The random part is about color and scraps I chose to use!
@charlenecastaldo36023 жыл бұрын
She has the fabric strips already cut in 4 inch or 2 inch strips. She's also showcasing this handy little ruler. It's really pretty clever, don't you think? 😊
